Bartrum vs. D' Alfonso - Round Two!

Do you think the "lil drummer boy" can withstand GEN. GRANTS charge?;)
It wouldn't be the lil drummer boy. Yes, I too think that Bartrum looks like Gen Grant on the $50 bill. Not sure if Gen Grant ever went fishing, but this pool playing Gen Grant sure has come to the midwest to harpoon a big whale before.

Cant thank you enough for the play by play Bill!!! This would have definately been a great match to have been there and watched, both days. I'll be the first to say that i'm kind of suprised chris took it down that fast, especially last night. I love chris' game to death and he's a great guy to hang out with but I consider chris a grinder, and his game usually gets better the longer he plays. It will definately be interesting to see who he plays next. I talked to a friend the other night who is a road player that was in pittsburgh a couple weeks back and he says that the action there is still thick as hell, so I definately wouldnt be suprised to see him make his way there, proabably along with a few others from here in Columbus. Congrats to chris and tommy on a great match.

Thanks. I had Ohio right. Not sure on the geography of that state & how far Middleton is from Columbus or which city Middleton is closest too.

Anyways, Cecil is not in Ohio, Kentucky, Georgia, or Pittsburgh right now. I bet CB won't be in those places either.

i have watched chris play many times.he is a true gentleman and plays very hard for the cash so i am definitley not calling him out.but if he is looking for action please send him through greensboro n.c. earl has a stakehorse who loves to bet high and the owners of shooters have a lot of faith in bj and are not scared to let him match up.like i said i am not calling anybody out but im sure he would get action.i would love to see it. good luck to you chris and congratulations on your recent wins over two very tough players.hope to see you and other players come to greensboro.

Watchez, Middleton is just outside of Cleveland. To the east about 25 miles. A little amish town. Just a farm town

If he shows up down there. I would suggest you bet on him. Earl would be realtively soft action in my opinion. He's an accident waiting to happen.
And B.J. needs weight. That's all I have to say about that game.

The Saw was referring to Middletown, Ohio. It's about 20 miles South of Dayton on the way to Cincy.

You are very welcome, candyman. I just got out of bed and I think I have recovered from 6 hours of typing. As for the match, I had expected Tommy's break to be better than Chris's and give him an edge, but that didn't happen. I think Tommy showed heart by bringing the match back to even from being 7 games down at one point, but you have to hand it to Chris as he played some strong pool and was playiing better at the end than the beginning. For me, the turning point in the match happened when Tommy was 4 games up and running out the rack. He hung an eight ball (I think because he was trying to get perfect on the nine by cheating a pocket just a bit) amd Chris went on to win several games in a row at that point. Had Tommy made that eight (he was straight in on the nine) and gone 5 games up with momentum, it might have been a different story. As the old saying goes, "For of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these: 'It might have been!'"

Someone that can get in touch with Chris find out how he would play Bruce Berrong, and see if he wants to come to Georgia.

HMm

That would be a good match. I had the unfortunate pleasure of playing bruce some in Vegas. I was down in the tourny room during the Vnea hitting some balls. I had just got off the plane and felt like crap. Here come this guy. "play some cheap?" said "sure 10 a game". I remember tellin a buddy of mine, "yeah I played a guy last night, lost 60 bucks. I have to tell ya, if it hadn't been for us playing the six ball also, I would have lost more". He asked who it was and I pointed him out. I got got called an idiot for a while. "He's only one the best damn players in Georgia". O well I gamble.lol

lol, as much as I will let him, but if he likes the game then as much as you can bring. Bruce plays about once a month, never practices, and drinks nightly. That being said, I will talk to him and see what he thinks.
