BB players Paid !

Some people say that the payout should of never come to this. I say better late than never.

Just my thoughts as a pool fan:
1. If you need to tell others how great you are.... you probably are not that great.
2. If you feel the need to tell me how bad the other guy and/or product is.... I would suggest using that time and effort in making you and/or your product better.
3. If you are more that just a fan of pool and have some skin in this industry I would really look at "1." and "2." above. Especially if you are posting in a forum where the rest of the pool fans hang out.

With that being said I just got back from Vegas playing in the BCAPL championships, I have bought about every stream TAR has put out, I bought a couple of weeks of Bonus Ball, I go to the Derby City Classic every year, and I buy as much stuff from the Vendors that I can. Why.... because I love pool and want to support the people, players, promoters, etc. that keep this sport and my passion alive.

Want to know whats wrong with pool...... Nothing! It is a beautiful sport that has been around for centuries and will be here for centuries to come.

Want to know whats wrong with the pool industry...... Not sure, but I think if we follow "1." and "2." above the pool community would be in a better place. Plus you will keep getting my money/support, however insignificant that is in the grand scheme of things. But who knows maybe there are a couple of other people out there that feel the same as me.

Just a pool fans opinion.

Great post! I'm with you buddy. Pool is alive and well, just take a look at the thousands of players who were in Vegas last week. And the thousands yet to come next week for the APA tourney. True the pros have their problems, but a few of them made some significant money last week thanks to CSI and Mark Griffin. What's wrong with 15K in today's economy?

There is a beauty to the game that can't be denied and it keeps bringing us back. Fats said it best, "The greatest game man ever created!" And I agree, that satisfying feeling of hitting a shot well and playing a perfect game is PRICELESS!

The banks in Vegas will be opening soon. If this is for real, I assume the Players are not wandering far from the distribution spot.. Today is probably the earliest wake-up in years for some of them.

now that's funny!
i ask, because i've tried to cash a payroll check in Vegas, on HSBC's account. Canadian Employer, who opened a US acct, to pay all of us on US funds, out of WA state. HSBC/Vegas REFUSED to cash it - even with my CFO on speakerphone verifying the funds. the current waiting period for Canadian checks to clear (and i have 3 Canadian mfgs who pay me monthly), is 5-10 business days. and up to $30 new "handling fees"....

It's like in the consulting business, if we want to know what the problem is in a company or association we simply look up the ladder, the top "rung" is usually "it".

The solution will be like the Pledge of Allegiance, it starts with "I", and ends with "All".

The Pro players have very little to do with anything that happens in the world of pool, including the prize funds, equipment, rules, accommodations, scheduling, etc. Then, when there's a problem with one of these components the "fingers" quickly point at the Pros???

This all makes perfect sense.

Among many other good posts from CJ, this may be the best!

Oh man! Seeing as Scott's picture/post is gone we cant tell now what bank it was. Anyone remember? Was the bank name even visible?

A candian bank sure would complicate things.

Here's your picture. Not Canada's fault.

And maybe, we do hear lot more than you think. Certain pro players complained that Mark should had added more money, Mark makes too much money (which is non of their business or they should try to do what Mark does!), that our staff was rude, complaints about tables not being cleaned after EVERY match... and get this...no special pro lounge with special banquet spread... And by the way, none had the decency to come to talk to Mark themselves but post it on facebook or some medial form when Mark always had an open door policy! He always was glad to talk to players and improve. He did not become where he is today without making changes or two.

So do you blame Mark when he says he's tired of dealing with it?

I'd love to know who said that about you, Mark, and CSI because I've never met someone from another planet before.

I thought aliens would be smart...

Looks like all visible players' checks are for $1,000. Looks like Run Out Media check is for $4,000. Also looks like a little more than 24 checks. If this is all of them, they were only paid for one week.

...there is nothing like an account number and routing number and bank address posted on an open forum to make a thief's day.. LOL
