Is there a thread that shows a list of the placing's from the different events at BCA nationals this year?

Those payouts listed are more than a little deceiving. My 8 ball team finished tied for 17th place. Each of us is listed with an $1100 payout. The entire team was paid $1100, not each individual.

Just curious, how do the teams of Alex Ollinger/Liz Lovely and Greg Harada/OMGWTF qualify to play in Advance Scotch Doubles versus being in the Masters division? That was stealing.

It's a weird system that really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I understand you cannot properly handicap the world… it's impossible, but the system set up here is just confusing. What does "advanced" or "open" or "masters" really mean? There doesn't really seem to be any guild lines as to what anyone really is or what group they should be.

One thing that does bother me about it is this… where I live, a "B player" is a "B player" no matter if it's male or female. In this system, an "open" guy and an "open" girl are WORLDS apart. A female "master" more than likely wouldn't cash in the male "open". Which leads us back to, what do these words actually mean? If you're going to lump people into groups, I think it should be consistent and clear what each of them are.

What bothered me was Mike Massey playing in Super Seniors and going undefeated to win $2600.00...There's nothing to stop him from entering again next year and winning it again...Why isn't he playing Masters or Grand Masters???

It used to be you were an 'Open' player until you cashed high enough to move up. Go and look at the list of past champions of the Open Singles. Justin Bergman got second only cause he over slept for his match.

Then the English pros came over and played as Master players and the Taiwanese players came over and played as Open players. Now everyone questions everyone's status in the events.

"Seniors" isn't a skill level, it's an age group.

But Mike Massey is a skill level..Like "PRO" skill level...Play with your own skill level..

The eligibility rules for the super seniors was defined last spring and said anyone 65 or older could play in the super seniors. I saw the final match and the fellow Mike was playing was really good and I think it could have gone either way.

I didn't play seniors..I'm just repeating what some of the seniors were saying when I was watching Mike play...Whether it's legal or not they just thought it unfair to play a Pro player in that division...I did to...But just my opinion...

Don't worry, I heard Mike say a prayer after he got the check. He said, "Forgive me Lord, I shall not steal again...till next year." Johnnyt
