However, what's different Jflower and JB, there r many tribute stuffs around this pool field such as the products looks same but it's different name or no names and sell for quarter price.

I think John had a disagreement with some one that got out of hand. Then I suspect he was using his wifes account after he was banned to continue to post to the forums for sale section, at least that is what I suspect.
Trademark infringement is crime, no matter what you think of John. Let me point out two things -

The above comment is exactly why this thread was started. It is confusing to customers when a trademarked name is used to take advantage of unknowing consumers. The cases being raffled in the two posts I knew about were NOT made by John Barton and Sterling Gaming under the brand J Flowers Tribute.
Manwon - This thread is a bunch of Bull Shit and an insult to many peoples intelegents, while John Barton did start marketing the J-Flowers tribute cases through Sterling Billiards. He was not the first to start building these tribute cases, Jack Justis was long before John, so what are people going to say that Jack is making fakes if he decided to make more of these cues cases, I don't think so, in fact problems between Jack and John started because John started using the design so who is really making the knock off cases!!!!!!!!
Jack is not making fake Justis cases or fake J Flowers Tribute cases and no one would be confused since there are distinct brand names that alert consumers to the differences. Jack has a brand name that he trades under in order to let consumers know about the quality of product they can expect. The tooling pattern popularized if the JEF Q case line produced many years ago is not protected under law, however both the brand name Justis and J Flowers Tribute are.
The issue here is that raffles were being conducted using a brand name that were misleading to consumers.

why is who made the alleged counterfeits not a more important factor than whether they were sold thru an authorized dealer, or raffled, or whether they'll be warrantied? Seems like the real issue is being skirted, unless of course, there's some backstory most don't know.

John Barton sent me a few lengthy emails this morning explaining their position. I can appreciate him going out of his way contacting me to protect his interests and the interests of his customer base. What I'm unclear of is wether these are different cases or they just "fell off the back of the truck". Either way, its a crumby situation to but a stigma on a nice case.
Oh and by the way, I kinda find it funny that there is this much drama about a knock off case that is being called a counterfeit, when the cases that are being sold by Sterling are also Knock Off cases and also therefore counterfeit!!!!!!

I bought the cases from a reputable supplier in Taiwan. I didn't know it was not a JB J flower cases at first until I received them.
So i decided to sell them as J flower tribute. If it was a JB J flower tribute case, I would have named it JB J flower case like the thread below.

Despite and in fact, because of your explaination, I find your antics deceitful, appaling, and a disgrace. Using the word "tribute" in lieu of "knockoff" or "fake" is not an acceptable way to advertise a non-authentic product.
Just because you were cheated / dupped / had, whatever doesn't mean you pass that practice along to your buyers, friends, collegues, and forum members.
Your attempt to post a "free" raffle of some items is a sad attempt to make right a serious wrong and a feeble attempt to pacify those you have decieved. I liked you tas, we have talked a bit, but this is too much.

Mike you don't know what you're talking about. There's quite a difference between baiting and threatening. A gigantic difference. Don't really see how you can not understand it but obviously you don't. Fortunately, I've reached most of my goals with Mr. Barton. And one of them was pushing you to enforce your own rules. You had to be pushed to finally understand about the duplicate logins that was apparently obvious to everyone but you. You more than anyone else on this forum is responsible for allowing John to behave like he has to many of your customers.
Quite a brave act threatening people from China where they're safe from the consequences of their threats. Fortunately that act is frowned upon by a couple agencies and steps have been taken. Also business interests can be challenged. Other steps are in place and have been introduced to Mr. Barton so temporarily the daily threats have stopped. Those acts came after Mr. Barton was given plenty of time to stop and plenty of time for you to recognize what they were and do the right thing. Neither of you did and I told Mr. Barton that things were going to start happening.
Threatening people with physical violence on a near daily basis is not baiting. People get baited all the time on forums. But they don't get threatened with physical violence on a daily basis without consequences. They don't get threatening emails or phone calls. Or they don't at least at places with any merit.
So stop with the idle threats of banning me and your ridiculous interpretation of what happened and make a stand on something. Enforce something. Ban me.
Just make a note to yourself that when John comes on with his login or some elses' in the future to physically threaten somebody else, hmm this is only the 6th or 7th time John has done this to someone. Hey i know the other guy must be baiting him. Really not rocket science Mike. Just maybe it could be John's fault and maybe you missed something along the way.
