... AZ member kyelin. We had an accepted offer for the Dave Tice i was selling, and he had even informed me that payment would be forthcoming and then kept me waiting two days only to finally inform me today that he bought another cue from a friend and could not afford both cues. While I do understand not passing up a good deal, which he said he received from his friend, this is a site for conducting business and a member's word should mean something. Something to think about if anyone else were to deal with him.

Thanks for listening.

Yeh I had the same thing happen to me last week but it was a well known forum member. He made an offer in PM and I accepted and then he said he didnt want it because he already bought another cue. I responded within 2 hours of the PM. You dont just go around throwing out offers if you do not intend to follow through.

Just remember, it's not a deal until money and item is exchanged or a contract is signed. PM's are great but sometimes people change his/her mind. It sucks that you had to wait on him, I hate waiting and having an outcome like that.

I don't take offers and deals seroiusly or get my hopes until the payment is in my account. People can change at the last minute.

I think an apology on his part should be a minimum.=)

While it is a shame, at least you have lost nothing except some time. Quite while your ahead, if you are unstatisfied report your transaction on his I-Trader. But, be prepared to to have him return feedback for you, this is about your only recourse.

Sorry about your problem.

I agree, but whats funny is I said the same thing a few months back when a member here agreed to sell his cue to another member here and then sold it to someone else locally the next day. I got roasted for it and was told that money in the hand is better than an on-line agreement. Sorry for those of you who flip cues on here alot. I know its your livelihood, or atleast secondary income, but you need to choose one side or the other. Should a persons word be binding or is it the money? Cant have your cake...

Don't you guys know how hard I worked to help that almost sale. I gave it more bumps than the streets in Seattle have. Thats a lot of bumps.LOL.

"Should a persons word be binding or is it the money?"

At least for me, my word is binding. You are nothing if your word is useless in my opinion. I don't care where the money or cue is. I don't care who disagrees with me on this.

Thanks for the warning and as manwon said "if you are unstatisfied report your transaction on his I-Trader."

Thanks for informing us too, actually it happen also to me not once but twice also by the same person you mentioned, you also wants to buy my cue in exchange for a sugartree shaft plus cash, he even called me thru my mobile inquiring about the cue, then after an hour or two he sent a pm that he got a nice cue and can't pass this out, well i understand it if it's true but sometime the word you say or write is binding, i suppost some of us have different experiences here.
Thanks for listening too

The situation should be recorded on hit I-trader. If he leaves bad feedback for you it will only hurt him more. Explain in detail so others don't think your in the wrong.
IMO, After an offer is accepted and the seller adds "sold" to the thread it is a signed contract. Listing a cue twice never looks good. If the cue sells for less then the initial offer the first AZ'er should be responsible for the difference. This could help any bad feelings and save some bad feedback from the seller.

Yep you say you want it you should BUY it If you don't know what you want you shouldn't act like an ADULT and give your word to buy resulting in wasting anothers time!

my word is always good, if i say i'm buying something, i buy it, no bs. unfortunately this has also happened to me. after i inquired a few days after he said he would take the item, he gave a bs story about not being able to pay his electric bill. then he's posting pics about the new cues he bought a day later.

the felcher rate seems to be going up around here.

did i say "felcher?" i meant welcher. lmao!

I think that the best way (for a deal) is to have ''them'' pay some money in advance..for example i wanted a cue from Daniel but i had to make a trip and i couldn't pick the cue up.So i told him to keep the cue for a week or two and i will give him some money(in advance) just to show him that i wanted the cue and not wasting his time...i think better deals will be made with this method.Even if someone doesn't have all the money the wanted time he can make an arragement.Don't know ...i just found this method usefull and you can't go back...
