Beatles Tribute Theme Cue

This cue will be shipped out today or tomorrow. I made it for Steve Piesner, a Beatles fan for life. The Beatles shocked the nation in the early 60's and 'till this day they are played regularly in stereos of people of all ages. I really enjoyed making this cue, and learning more about the Beatles. They changed music with their genius abilities, and the perfect collaboration of talents in a musical group. The scrimshaw was done by my new friend Sandy Brady, she is truly an amazing artist. The buttsleve features Steve's 6 favorite all time songs engraved in Ivory. The Banded Chrysocolla Spear tips and stars compliment the double teal veneers in the 4 points. Between each song I placed rings of fine silver dots in a circular pattern complimenting, and giving some bling to the sleve of the cue. The joint, handle middle section, and buttcap, and stars are all top grade Ivory from David Warther. The wrap I chose was elephant ear because of its great texture and sheen. The 4 points of Ebony Feature Ivory guitars with Gibson style headstocks and smooth acustic/electric curved body's. I had a great time building this cue regardless of all the many, many hours involved to create it. Here are some pics...... Hope you all enjoy it.

Poor George, never gets his due. j/k. Very well done!

EDIT: I should mention that my 7 year old daughter's favorite band is the Beatles and her favorite song (so far) is Eleanor Rigby. I'm giving her one album at a time so she listens to each one thoroughly before moving on to the next. It warms my heart to hear her singing along as she plays in her room.

Very cool theme cue! What songs are written in the Ivory butt sleeve windows? Sandra does some fantastic scrimshaw work. :clapping:

I can honestly say that I've loved the Beatles all my life. When I was a newborn, my Mother would play Hey Jude to get me to stop crying. Worked every time.

great cue jon....glad all has smoothed over with you and steve.....:)

I, too, am curious about the song choices. I see "Across The Universe" and "Norwegian Wood". I'm a huge Beatles fan and that's an amazing cue.

The cue came out very well Jon.

Great sentiment and thoughtfulness on your part as well.

Congrats!

This cue is really impressive...the whole concept from planning to execution is really just quite remarkable. I would've thought a Beatles themed cue would be cheesy and boring but your layout is perfect. Importantly it looks like it's even gonna be a great player...Jon I really think this is your best cue to date...what's next? Jackson 5? ;)

Thanks to all for the nice comments. My pic of George was fuzzy and I will take a new one and post it. I used Steves favorite 6 songs in the buttsleve: Two of Us, One After 909, Hey Jude, Norweigen Wood, Across th Universe, & In My Life. All great songs!
What's next??? In no particular order.... Mo M., Bob C., Jive, Chris C., Davor K.
& a Gambler Cue maybe....

Nice Cue Jon! I wish I could have made it to the show. It was a real good time having a few cold ones with you, Brent and Chris B. We will have to do it again at the Hopkins show this year.

Very nice, I was about to go off and ask why does George get so disrespected. Glad I looked to make sure. Very nice. Keep it up.
