Florian doesn't enter in those things. They're far too slow and contain mostly setup shots....which is what Florian is trying to stay away from.

Florian chose instead to do exhibitions all week long in the Runout Media and Mezz USA booth. He did shows with Mike Masse, Jennifer Beretta, Thorsten Hohmann, and even Mika. He was doing triple masses and other crazy shots (with very high consistency)....stuff that he wouldn't be allowed to do had he competed upstairs.

Thanks for asking though. You seem to show a lot of support towards him. :)

Wow! That is the most insane trick shot action i have ever seen. Looks like all the trick shot artist may have to head back to the lab and start cookin up some new sh^t. Either that or have a whole new breed of trick shot artists.

p.s I mean no disrespect to previous trick shot artists. They have all earned their stripes and i respect them for that. Im just sayin this guy is on another level imo.

Owning this DVD is a must, I have watched it so many times, I dont thinkI can do one of he shots,LOL I wonder if Simonis is giving him a deal on cloth now that he is famous, he is so talented. Reminds me of Mike Massey because there are a few things Mike is the ONLY person in the world that can do them, same for Venom-nobody can fire in the balls into the side pocket that fast or do those triple masse' shots. Semeh Sagner can spin the ball real good too, but I think for trick shots Venom is the best there is right now.

the scary thing is he has only been playing for 4? years now, With all due respect to all the trick shot artists out there, this guy is the best. Mike Massey is a great showman perhaps the best of all time, he loves what he does and is a great friend of mine. When I told him about Venom he said he had heard of him but hadnt seen him, this was about a year ago, I'm sure Mike has seen him by now, I havent spoke to mike in a couple months. I hope they can meet someday.

Could you imagine a show with Mike and Venom? Wow!!! Nobody can do the finger pool like Mike and Venom with the masse' shots imagine the tricks they could perfom together??? They could invent shots that they might be the only 2 people in the world could do.

Thanks Eric. Mike Massey met Florian for the first time at SBE a few weeks ago. I gave Mike a DVD and he went home and watched it that night. Twice.

He came back the next day and spent almost the entire afternoon in the booth with Florian. They were instantly great friends.

As for a combined DVD.... shhhh! That's a secret. ;)

Here's some footage of them together:

I liked the video so much I sold 100 copy's of it at Valley Forge. Nathan even agreed to pay me a percentage for being such a big help in the sale. I forgot to get paid that is my fault.lol

These guys from runout media kickass and I hope they stick around.

Jamison, we never agreed to pay you a percentage before hand. Dave did all the negotiating with Sterling. You simply told the guy from Sterling that we made good DVDs as they were packing up their booth to leave beside us. We gave you free shirts and DVDs just minutes before.

I told you after to contact Dave if you wanted to discuss a commision, which I dont think you ever did. It turns out Dave had already been in contact with Sterling about buying DVDs from us a few weeks before that anyway. On top of that, like many vendors this year, we LOST money at Super Billiard Expo. It was a total bust.

Anyway, you're a real nice guy, and I support you. But saying we owe you money is a little...I don't know. Inappropriate? After all, this is a thread about Florian. Such issues should be discussed privately.

No i didnt mean that you owed me I was trying to say i liked the video tons bro that is it.

I supported you guys then, and now. Don't flip over a written error. I am not that versed in business, I don't want anything from you bro...I was kidding then, and now.

Sorry for your losses. I wish I could have helped more I tried telling everyone about it. Good luck with future trade shows.

All is good man. And again, thanks for all your support. :)

Nathan as you know I am sure that in any business you will have losses but if anything you might have gained something at SBE. At the very least you gained some more exposure and had a good time.

I think when a player is looking to do a video and has talent they will come to you, to be honest if I was closer I would have you do the Power One Pocket because this stuff is not easy at all. Hope to see more coming from you because it really is top notch stuff and the best this industry has ever seen.

Florian came over and messed around on our table for a few minutes. The guy has mad skills. The thing about "only playing four years" is misleading though because he has obviously put in mega amounts of time working on his arsenal of shots.

The DVD was nice. I don't know if I'd call Florian the "best in the world" yet. It's pretty subjective because he doesn't compete in competitions so there is no measure to compare him to. I say that he brings another level of creativity to the table.

I'd bet large though that if it weren't for those "boring and slow" trick shot competitions that have been on TV this past decade that Florian wouldn't have even gotten into doing this.

I am all for creativity and taking things to another level but I think we should respect the history that brought us here.

People like Mike Massey, Tom Rossman, Semih Sayginer, all the Artistic Billiards shooters in Europe, and guys over here pushing the limits, these are all people that Florian has as role models. Who was the Japanese guy who did the Mind Blowing Trick Shots video 20 years ago?

A LOT of the shots in the Venom video were taken from these guys and modified. Anyone who keeps up with this sort of thing will recognize those shots.

So let's keep it real. Venom is a rock star on the rise and should have a healthy career in front of him. He has stepped into a fraternity of like minded artists and established himself as one to push the bar higher.

That's how I see it and I hope someday to catch his full show in person as he is the real deal with mad skills.

He's actually only been playing for 3 years (not 4). Oddly enough, Florian only plays an average of 5 or 6 hours per week. He spends the majority of his time at school.

I'd bet large though that if it weren't for those "boring and slow" trick shot competitions that have been on TV this past decade that Florian wouldn't have even gotten into doing this.

Please don't put words in my mouth. I never said they were boring. Nor did I or Florian ever suggest that he had no respect for other trickshot artists. In contrary, he absolutely idolizes Samih and Mike.

Is Florian Quebecois? Thought I heard a French accent when I saw the video with Massey.

He's from France....on the border over towards Germany if I'm not mistaken. His English is getting a lot better lately though. It's becoming harder to make fun of him :p

i've never seen anything that compares to this guy in any trick shot competitions. You said something about certain shots not being legal in trick shot competitions? Can you elaborate on that? The very notion of a shot being illegal in a trick shot competition is mind boggling to me.. just goes against the concept of trick shots. You should be able to do ANYTHING on that pool table that involves a cue and balls in a trick shot competition.. if your opponent can't do it or it is impressive enough to the judges you win.

In my opinion these are the most impressive feats of all time on a pool table in terms of trick shots. If he keeps this up, he's clearly the greatest of all time. This is coming from someone who doesn't know quite as much about trick shot artists and maybe i just haven't seen the pinnacle... but this guy has to be the GOAT in my opinion. It's not about winning titles, it's about what he can do with the cue ball and I challenge anyone to find a video of anything close to as impressive as this.
