What was your best non-cue/case/table pool-related purchase? In any terms.
For me, I look at my bookshelf and see a few books that I pat myself on the back for having the fortune of buying them back then.
I bought Shot, Moves, Stategies for $45 or whatever Cornhusker/Mueller's was selling it right out of the catalog. I would have bought Winning One-Pocket right then as well, but they had already sold out.
Even when it was already out of print and highly desired, I snagged a copy of Winning One-Pocket (with errata sheet) at the Super Billiard Expo for $60. I almost lost out on this because while I was asking about the price and thinking about it, some a$$ (JimBo) bought the book from the guy. Fortunately, the vendor had two books.
