Beware of AZ seller User: kyelin

Bad deals are part and pacel of life. You win most, you lose some. LoL. Most guys in Singapore are straight shooters, so please don't blacklist Singaporeans. I'm sure many people here can vouch for us. :) It's just that there's always a rotten apple in every bag of apples somehow.

As the rest said, you should leave a negative iTrader. After 2 backing out of 2 trades out of 5, i'm sure it'll be hard for him to do any more business here.

I have sold 2 high dollar cues to 2 people in Singapore....I have only had good deals with Singapore'eans:grin:

Its the individual...not the country that is bad.

LEAVE NEGATIVE iTRADER FOR HIM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I may be wrong, but you cant leave him Neg Itrader unless you had a buisiness transaction with him...you must leave Red Rep....I could be wrong though....been known to be wrong a cpl times in my life

itrader sent

Ok I sent the itrader feedback and red rep thanks guys for your help and the right sugartree will pop up for me one day just sucks this went this way it ow well Im over it... just sour...

timmy

I think you're better off in the long run, that cue was hideous! And it's $1350? Wow! I'd never ever consider buying that cue, for nowhere near that price! Seriosuly, $1350? have you shopped around, you can get a LOT of cue for that money. There are some VERY nice cues here for less than that. For that kind of dough you can get a JW, Black, Phillipi, etc. Keep shopping.

Payment

This may not be the right place to post.
I noticed a few people in this thread have sold to people in singapore. or overseasin general. How do yo accept payment for these transactions without being burned. Just curious. is paypal safe?

I had a good deal with kyelin before we had itrader, even did the bank transfer thing. I suggest you all wait to hear his version of the story before you continue red repping him. Your beating up a guy who's been a member since June 06 and has done multiple transactions versus a guy who's just joined and has no previous itrader. He's in Singapore so there's going to be a time lapse in communication, it's not like he's sitting at his computer when most of us in the states are. I'm just saying, let's hear his side of the story before we condemn him.

If the cue is expensive to start with, I'd rather do a bank transfer to allow the seller to feel safe.

If mine wasn't sitting in escrow with fasn n loose I'd sell you that one

So you'd rather do business with him than me? Man.... that hurts.

If there was an agreement, the meeting of the minds, it'll be considered a trade gone wrong. The moment the seller agrees to sell at a certain price, and the buyer agrees to buy it at a certain price, there is a verbal contract if i'm not wrong. So i reckon that iTrader would be considered valid. Even more so when money had exchanged hands.

I hate to hear that for you man. Most of the people on here are honest pool fanatics. There is a lot of honest wheelin and dealin on this site. Do your homework, but as you know there are always bad apples where ever you do business.

You make a good point, but he's been banned before. Previous name was kye_lin. I don't know the reason why.

I would like to apologize for this thread getting hijacked like 3 separate times! lol Good thing we're all good sports here.

I think you are dead-on here, Keefy. For what it is worth, I have done a ton of transactions with most of the AZB members from Singapore, and they have all been extremely smooth. Very honorable and trustworthy members.

I really feel badly that these couple of transactions with Kyelin have gone poorly. Even worse is for Paypal to hold your money. You might want to give them a call.

I never said that! lol

I agree Jim....I didnt think it was an out of this world price..

Okay, we have bashed everyone in here, all the members from Singapoure (of course some members clever enough tried to ease that), Eric Crisp and his work and a seller who's been here since '06 - the last thing doesn't matter that much to me other than that I feel awfully sorry for chimmy to have such a bad experience.

I believe we should think before we bash others only for living elsewhere and before bashing one undoubtedly great and respected cue maker of our time.

Hello I heard good things about this message board so I signed up. I recently found a cue on this section and made the guy an offer which he accepted. I spent all day trying to get to the bank to deposit the money for the cue to hold up my end. I rush home send him the payment through paypal and then open a message saying he is selling it to his friend and refunding me my money. Now we had a deal I went through the trouble to hold up my end just to get pushed out of the way that sucks. Im not sure if this kind of thing happens a lot on this site but I will not be looking to buy here until I figure out if its safe or not. Wow what a let down

Here is the link to his thread: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=133589

This would have been my first custom cue

To top it off paypal has a hold on my cash

Thanks kyelin great business

timmy

the only real damage I see done to you was the effort you put into making the deal happen and the few days of holding on the money paypal has put on you. It's not as if you lost your cash.

That's not to say that kyelin is not in the wrong here, he should honor a deal like that, even if he is not legally bound to do so.

You unfortunately had one bad experience, that is NOT the norm on this board.

I would strongly suggest that you check in on the other party by researching past transactions he has done on this site and perhaps contact people who have previously done business with him through private message. There are many ways to avoid bad business deals on this board, but it is not 100% avoidable.

I would be happy that you found out that he was a bad seller without any monetary loss and you are now richer with information as a result

There is no painless out. If you get a guy that says I'll take it.. he goes without payment, you then sell it, he'll bi*ch that he didn't get enough time.. bla. bla bla..

It does suck both way's, for sure...

JV (---one thing better than iTrader.. is lynching..

It is very had to deal with buying and selling over the internet.
I mean, if you were to sell a car, you wouldn't make offers over the phone nor pay. You'd check out the item, first come first serve.

The thing is, that as a Seller you'd want to make as much money as possible. Some sellers find a new buyer for much high price during the time that the payment is being processed.

So the buyer says okay, i'll sell it to you for $1,000 bucks, and during the waiting period, some guy offers $1,500 bucks. Now the seller is faced with: 1. Money or 2. Honor of word.

Most of the time, if the money is right or it is too damn good to pass up, a dishonorable person would take the money and the honorable person would just bite his/her tounge and take it like a real man or real woman.

But from experience, I've had that done to me so I WILL NEVER EVER do that to anyone because I know how bad that feels to get your hopes up then someone flakes you out of a good deal.

PS: The cue and wood is FULGY anyhoo. You can get better cues for less with more intricate designs and inlays and more exotic Burlssssss!!!!! yay!!! Snakewood!!! and much much more beautiful stuff!!

I had the same happen to me once before, and know the feeling. :( I chose to leave the guy neutral iTrader because I wanted it documented for others to see on his record, but IMO negative iTrader is for more serious offenses like stolen money, received damaged goods, goods never shipped, etc. In your case, you're disappointed but you lost nothing but time, and IMO negative iTrader is too harsh for that.

You said your piece (in the harshest way possible) through the system intended for transaction feed back. Why now start this thread as well for a relatively "light" matter?

I dealt with keylin once before, and the transaction was smooth.
