I heard the break and run pot in Beloit, Wisconsin was over $50,000 (I think $64,000) one time. I believe Duane Tuula posts here often and promotes the room. He could probably confirm.
I just saw Okie post his break and run from the contest and the pot was 10K. What is the highest you have seen it go up to? I took one down last year but it only was 160$ a ball. Ive seen it up to 7K here in NC.
I also don't remember the exact figure of the one in beloit, but I know it was very very large. Had a lot of my friends go try and bust it, don't remember how it ended up.
I watched a friend of mine in Ft.Wayne, In. run out for a little over $1200 a ball. Balls on the break don't count, but you had to make one to shoot. I believe the 3 ball to the 4 ball, was risky shape, and he had to decide whether to cinch the shot for $1200 or risk missing the ball to get shape. He made a fabulous runout, for over $9600
Ginky's protege, John Alicea (both RIP) did a $5K break-and-run jackpot ($500 a ball) on Accu-Stats in the Accu-Stats arena:

Biggest one I ever won was $785. Rack of 10b, spot all balls made on break and 10b had to go last.
Bobby Chamberlain hit a big one in VA that I witnesses, ~$3k, IIRC. Was a tuff-azz 8b rack he ran too.
I just looked it up and my $ recollection is incorrect:

What exactly is a break and run contest? There must be something to it that makes it hard beyond just breaking and running to have jackpots that size? I feel like I'm missing something here.
