Everyone here is dying to know if it is superior, and just how much better is it, and here is the place to see. DO NOT CLUTTER THIS THREAD UNLESS YOU ARE A REAL PLAYER. Can you spot an average player the 6 out? Can you give 12-4 to an average local one-pocket player? I want to hear why this chalk is better.

I would also like to know why on the site, it has been worldwide for years upon years, but 'just now discovered in USA.'

That is also the kind of player who isn't necessarily a top player. I know I'm not, but I'm close enough. How do you compare the hit of a Lambros, supposedly the 'best hitting cue on the planet' as opposed to a Searing or a Southwest? Could you take 10 different people and get the same answer? What about the best cue or even the most expensive cue? That is something that is so totally and ridiculously unimportant, it makes my left ass cheek itch.

IMO, if you can play, you don't need to know about chalk, let alone ask about it 'cause it isn't that big a deal. You can either buy some yourself and form your own opinion, or keep using what you've been using with the confidence that you can still do what you want with that cue ball. If you can't play, the chalk ain't gonna help you one bit. Nothing will, except time spent on the table, and believe me, I know about time spent on the table. Just call Magoo's in Tulsa, OK and ask for the house pro. He'll tell you the one person who spends the most time on the table and even whether or not he would be able to give a worthy opinion of Blue Diamond Chalk to such an experienced player.

You don't have to be an A player to know the difference between the two. It is like the difference between Aquafina or Evian, or like the difference between premium or regular unleaded. Is there a difference? Yes. Is it worth it? It depends on the type of person (not the player) you are. People who pay for premium do so because they can, not because they are a good driver and can sense the difference when they push the pedal. They also do so because they want that level of satisfaction. I myself am the same way. You will have to ask yourself the same question. You will also have to ask yourself who you think you are to exclude the opinions of part of the members of this forum. I personally think that's rude and disrespectful. I am only entertaining you for the sake of all the others who won't respond simply because they feel like it would be a waste of time. I don't feel like it is only in the level of skill that will determine if you will use this chalk or not. The best players in the pool hall probably don't even know what it is. I gave Buddy Hall a cube, and he tried it during his practice session and left it on the table. He does like the pre flag Master, cause he likes what he is familiar with. I believe it is the type of individual like Ralph Souquet who needs his own personal toilet seat covers when he travels, or Tyler Edey who faces his cues and shafts perfectly and the exact same way in his Longoni case. I also believe it is for anyone else who decides to spend the money on it because of the level of satisfaction is gives them knowing that they are getting a quality product. It's kinda like the difference between a Mercedes Benz and a Ford Taurus. I am a 'perfectionist' in everything I do, even in the way I write. You my friend, appear to be the type of person who forms his opinion based on what you read and as well as what other people say, so I assume you will keep on using Master like everyone else since you're too cheap to find out for yourself. That's just my own opinion though.

Why is anything else started in other parts of the world like in the Japan or in Europe? Passion? Ingenuity? Trends have been like that ever since I can remember. Germany and Italy make the most fantastic cars. Japan and Korea make pretty good ones too. What about electronics? I don't think this chalk thing is so different. Are we behind? maybe. We are Americans. We live in a spoiled rotten environment where everything is granted to us instantantously and at the push of a button. Kind of like your expectation for an answer to Blue Diamond from 'someone who would know better' as opposed to a lowly hack. We don't give a rats ass about the 'next level' cause we're too comfortable with the level we're on.

Since you asked, maybe you didn't know that, which means maybe you should take a closer look in the mirror and ask yourself, "Who am I to insult the brotherhood of pool as a whole and respectable members of this forum demanding opinions from only top players and no one else, acting as though I were a top player who was too good to get the opinion of a player lower than myself?"

People ask what is wrong with pool. This is it. Good pool players think they are too good for everyone else. Ask anyone who has been around top players. They think their $hit don't stink when in truth, they're attracting flies the whole time.

Just a suggestion, in this place, I wouldn't talk down to anyone who doesn't deserve it. This is a place for discussion that includes 'ALL MEMBERS' who choose to participate. Including the less skilled.

Hopefully one day I will have achieved enough in the pool world to come back on and give a review of my favorite chalk (oops, did I give it away).

The paper on the cube looks cheap, the ads on the website have that dishonest marketing look, and yet it is expensive as heck.

If it really is the ultimate friction chalk, WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ITS ON THE CUEBALL AND SKIDS HALF THE BALLS YOU SHOOT. What happens when it gets on the Beloved nineball, and after a perfect rack you throw the nine thick on a cut? YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT ALL ANGLES HERE......

That said, what happens when this space age @#$% CHALK imbeds in the Beautiful 760 on my Gabriels 9ft? All of a sudden, the REPLACE THE BALL shot drill changes - the additional friction will cause the cueball to roll instead of skip spinning backwards until ball contact.

Anyone else believe these points have Validity?
Have the players here played in a tournament environment where the chalk was endorsed, and SEEN REAL WORLD RESULTS, not just"yeah, i sneak my own chalk in...heehee" I mean, that is LIGHT and DAY difference in reality....

Specs as in frictional data, a somewhat close to the truth chemical composition, whether it is a fine or rough grade of chalk, whatever a lab could come up with, HEY I JUST MADE THE BEST CHALK IN THE WORLD TOO.. SINCE YOU ARE SO SMART, ILL ONLY CHARGE YOU 800 DOLLARS A BOX. Hows that for specs. Smart Bummm.

I know you're trying to come off as some sort of experienced guru and some smart guy and all, but a couple of things:

Clearly you haven't taken the course in congeniality.

Pool/Billiard chalk isn't calcium carbonate. I know you were just trying to show off your vast knowledge. Nice job. LOL!!!

I use EC (Educational Chalk) for several reasons. It's white (white is my favorite color) and it's easy to acquire. I'm also developing and application device to make it easier to chalk the cue (the pencil shape does present a few problems in this area)... but I can't say any more than that at this time.

eyesjr, perhaps you are unaware, but Longoni has formed a consortium of Nobel Prize-winning chemists and physicists to conduct thorough researches into the superiority of BD chalk. Before they were accepted to participate, each scientist had to travel to the Philippines and take Efren's money after spotting him the 8. Their research is nearing a conclusion and a full report is due shortly in the Annals of Analytical Chemistry. I'm sure you subscribe to this journal, so watch your mailbox!

True that. He makes his living playing pool (or maybe just woofing over the internet) but he cant afford chalk? Just buy some and then you wouldnt have to ask azers what they think (since were all nits). Simple as that.
 
I found a cube of BD in the ball return of a Gold Crown a couple of years ago. I only use it on holidays or " special shots " it seems to have extreme GRIPTION I mean it's gripping qualities are amazing :winknudge:
