Bogus Ball..from the start

According to this link, http://www.lasvegascondomania.com/condos/TRUMP-TOWERS.php , there are 38 listings up for sale, with prices ranging from $204,500 to $2,650,000.

Without checking further, it's reasonable to assume that prices have dropped 50% from the peak of several years ago.

since 10 yrs ago, & 50 trips, & 100 weeks, to Vegas - costs of hotels have changed:

MANDALAY BAY - $160 TO $80/NIGHT
MIRAGE & ARIA - $120 TO $60
BELLAGIO, WYNN, VENETIAN, TRUMP - $300 TO $120ish
LUXOR - $90 TO $30
HRH - $120 TO $65
STRATOSPHERE - $60 TO $25
COSMO - is the only one holdling their own, cause they're the hottest thing on the strip

and they all comp $100 chips
2 for 1 dinners everywhere inhouse
1 day spa package
2 tickets to Cirque
etc, etc

and they're still dying. even WE aren't going to 5 shows/year @ $4K/show anymore - unless it crosses w/ a POOL venue!

(but we'll be @ Mosconi for an early Xmas vacation! and we'll be in our Penthouse @ a really really CHEAP price....)

If you could tell me how to get into the Mirage for that for four weeknights in early December, I would be much obliged.

not sure I understand your post. Are you saying that 10 years ago the Wynn was $300 a night and now it is $120?

I aint heard a peep,

I am not going after you whatsoever but you stuck your head out as if you had a clue or would have a clue once the date came. Well I am pretty sure it is here. Can you give us any clarity or maybe someone has and I missed it.

Or has the date been moved?

I find it difficult to believe you can tell us pre August 1st that it may be 2weeks later when to expect an announcement and now all you got is... I don't know nuttin

Please enlighten us!:barf:

Right on the Mirage's website it is $69/night for a King room during the Mosconi. Of course they probably throw a $20/night resort fee on top, but last time I was out there the three hotels I stayed at did the same (Luxor, MGM, and Venetian).

I was talking with a buddy of mine the other day about street people and how they have less worries then people who actually own things.

Sounds good in theory or as a topic of discussion but the facts are a little different:

A street persons worries:
"At night I would sleep in the jungle gym, in the slide that was a tube, because it was warmer. When it rained I would sleep under the freeway bridge. Once in a while I could get a good night’s sleep. But other nights I couldn’t because I was worried about getting caught by the police. Every now and then I would hear gunfire and it would keep me up at night.

My clothes were dirty and ripped. I smelled like piss and body odor. I would eat out of garbage cans or steal food. Before I started living on the streets I was a good 135 pounds. I lost a lot of weight. I looked like a twig. I would go a few days without eating. For the first couple days I would be starving, but on the third day the hunger went away and I couldn’t feel anything."

I looked a few weeks ago and it was like $100/night with at $25(!) "resort" fee. It seems to have come down to $100 total including resort fee and taxes.

They play games with the prices. Their 1 Bedroom penthouse is $319/night now and a couple of months ago when they first announced it would be at the Mirage it was like $250. Up and down.

Not sure this is BB related, but what the hay...

I've stayed there twice in the last 9 months. Book through Travelocity for air and Mirage standard room. Air/hotel @ $630, tax incl'd, for 5 nights from N Carolina.

Go to check in, and with a little haggling, got upgraded to a 1250 sq ft penthouse suite for an additional $xxx/night. Freaking footboard on the swarofsky tufted bed popped up @ 40 inch flatscreen. Pretty bad ass suite overlooking the volcano and strip. Bathroom bigger than most hotel rooms. Bidet, jaquzzi, kitchenette, wall to ceiling glass, sound system, automated vibrators, full dining room, awesome room service...

KK9 <-- very happy The Cup moved to the Mirage, will be there with bells on

yes - except the Wynn isn't 10 yrs old. but it's $120/night; $160 max if something major occurs on said day, ususally a weekend fight night.

The only "Big Foot" I mess with is the 10' Table

I need your help in understanding what is happening here? It seems the the big Fatboy announcement, which was cloaked in secrecy due to non-disclosure agreements he made personally has morphed into the Johnny Archer's big announcement that he has big things to announce but they are covered by confidentiality agreements.

So. Are these big things great already or is that confidential too? It feels a bit different but you know how it gets when you are all excited. Big things brewing and all. Its like presents under the tree. You can see they are there, but what's in there is covered by the confidentiality of wrapping paper.

Thanks for any light you can shed under the cone of silence.

I would like to know where you find all these cheap hotels on the weekends in Vegas.

I book a lot of hotel rooms for players in our matches. Depending on the weekend it can go from reasonable to painful. I am not aware of anywhere on the strip you can get a room for under $100 on a weekend without some deal they send to previous customers.

I have had bad luck dealing with priceline/hotwire other online third party sites as well. On two occasions hotels would not honor reservations made through those sites for some completely bullshit reasons. So now I book with hotels directly for the most part. If you know a way to get sub $100 rooms at decent hotels in Vegas on the weekends without having to book them 60 days out I would love to hear it.

I will bet you $120 (or $160 or higher) that you cannot book (without casino rate) the Wynn for an average of $160 a night say for a Thursday to Monday stay.

Then I'll make the same bet you can't do it for a Monday to Friday stay.

<----knows just a little bit about the Wynn and it's workings.

And how much would it be with tax and resort fee ($25/day) and the tax on the resort fee? For the days of the Mosconi Cup, the total at the Wynn booked direct is $250/night (Sun-Thu). Through Travelocity it is $730 for four nights or $183/night. Early December is not high season.

Also note that the Travelocity "listed" price is $139/night but the real price is $183.
