Right, but that doesn't mean your match would be a 9 AM though. I thought you had some inside info for your match personally. I know last year one of my friends had his first match at 9 AM and my first one was at like 5 PM. He was dead set that someone was mad at him to make him play so early. lol.

This is kind of reminding me of the East Coast/West Coast Hip Hop Rivalry from back in the day.


East coast guy, "Yo man, the east coast is the Bomb! Borana is gonna tear that west Coast chick OMGWTF apart. The east coast ROCKS man!"

West coast guy, "Yo man, you east coast guys don't know what you're talkin 'bout. The west coast is where it's at. OMG is gonna kick Borana's asss all the way back to Albania!"

East coast girl, "Excuse me, what did you say? The west coast has got no chance. Borana ran a 4pack in 10ball. All that OMG chick knows how to run is her mouth!! What is she gonna do..TALK the balls into the hole?!?!"

West coast girl, "Puleez. An east coast girl ran a 4pack? Get real. You know damn well Borana never ran no 4pack. The only running she's gonna do is when she RUNS out of the room after getting her ass handed to her!"

and then in escalates into an "Oh no she didn't" comment from one of the girls, and all hell breaks loose.

OMGWTF gets shot dead on the Vegas strip, but continues to come back from the dead to play in regional tournaments for years after her death.

Borana gets shot outside a club and they make a movie about her life.

She doesn't need inside scoop. EVERY Scotch Double matches will start 9:00 am on 14th. We have 280 tables sit up by then and unless we have 281 Scotch Double entries, which is highly unlikely, She will start 9 am.

As Holly stated somewhere in this crazy thread, 14th is a grueling day for the players, starting 9 am, winner's round play every 2 hours and loser's and last round every 1.5 hours. The last round scheduled for 14th is at 11:30.

Your story is true for Men's Open Single... with over 1300 entrants, several rounds had to be played. :)

Ahh, that makes sense, Sunny. Like I told her, I wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything, I really was just curious. Thanks for the info!

By the way, if you could find a way for me to not play at 9 AM, it would be greatly appreciated. ;)

If Ms. Andoni backs out after agreeing to play then by all means, flay her alive. Until then, cut her some slack and let her try to figure out the best way to make this happen without grilling her about her every comment.

She has a full schedule and could have (and maybe should have) said "no". Since she said yes, at least give her a few days or even a couple of weeks to figure out how to work this into her schedule. She is playing in 3 divisions if I remember correctly and that will keep her busy. She has a prior commitment to her team and scotch doubles partner that will come before this match.

Ultimately, Ms. Andoni and Ms. Huang are the two that will be putting up their money to play against each other. That makes the date/time/game their prerogative.

I sure hope this comment wasn't directed at me. I have stated, as nicely as I can, that I wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything when asking Borana about her schedule. I was just curious how she knew what time her match was already. Between her and Sunny they have answered my simple question. Obviously it is between Borana and OMGWTF to figure out, between them, when they are able to play. I'm hoping that they are able to find a time when I am in Vegas to play so I can try to make it to Pool Sharks (if that's where they decide to play of course) to sweat the match.

Anyways, until I make a comment that is supposed to be taken as negative, get off my ass. If I say something and clearly state that it's not supposed to be the way it can sound, understand that I am being honest when I say that. I meant nothing negative in asking a simple question...this time.

If I were on your ass I would have quoted you. When I speak directly to someone, I quote them. When I make a generalized statement, I quote no one.

There have been quite a few digs towards Ms. Andoni in various ways since she mentioned that the 14th wasn't good for her and a few even before then.

Alright, no worries. The timing just seemed odd to me.

Anyways, back to our regularly scheduled thread/topic.

If this match does happen at Pool Sharks, is the easiest way to get there via cab? I'm not sure where it's at exactly so I'll have to look that up I suppose.

Also, if for some odd reason this match can't happen at Pool Sharks, would you ladies give consideration to playing on the bar box at the Riviera? I believe OMGWTF likes bar box 8-ball, and Borana was on a national 8-ball championship team so obviously she can play (not sure if she enjoys it though, lol). I'm a fan of bar box 8-ball action so that's why I'm asking.

Whew...I just spent two hours reading this whole thread. I just hope they play when I'm in Vegas, so I can watch!

Roy...To be fair, I watched the whole match against cubc, and for the first couple of hours neither one of them could make a ball...they both played like APA 3's. Then, after about 2 1/2 hrs, Melinda caught a couple of good rolls (she was getting the 7, which, from what I saw, cubc had NO business giving her), made a couple 7's on the break, and got a lead. cubc could never catch up. cubc (being from NC) had a 2-hr lesson with Kwik-Fire, and thought he could handle it. I stood next to Kelly while cubc was getting pummeled, and she said to me, "Well...it WAS only ONE lesson!...and he played better than this then!" LMAO IMO, this match between these two girls is dead even.

I hope that OMGWTF can cancel her days off to play Borana since Borana can't fit that day into her BCA schedule - time is money.

If OMGWTF has to take an extra day off to make this match happen I will send her $100 tax free money to compensate the extra day off. I've never met her but am a huge fan of her blog and watched her match with cubc 3 times. She has inspired me.

AMAZING! Over 250 posts and nearly 10,000 views for a match that appears to be going nowhere. This may be the best match that never happened! And people were talking about how cool it is they could match up so quickly compared to the guys. Better rethink that. :smile-us-down:

Jay I think both ladies do want to play but Borana has a busy schedule, should be a very close match with the bettors getting a good sweat.
