The pool was actually pretty good. Tony did well. I am positive that someone is going to get yelled at for letting Joe Rogan in the booth, especially after the cloth comment.
But we all know that the IPT will never be "real pool" with Kevin Trudeau involved.
They will never be able to have real true pool drama like Alex coming back from 22 games down to snap off the match against the hottest American player Shane Van Boening.
If Trudeau wants REAL POOL then he should just give TAR the budget and the resources and let them produce these matchups.
IMO. These IPT matches are great to watch with TAR podcasts on audio.

Yes, congrats to Tony! They both played well considering they had to overcome the difficulties of the equipment and lack of sleep these 2 had to deal with.

It was excruciating having to listen to someone talk about nothing but how great he is! We got no quality commentary at all. No insights into the games, no nothing. I'm not even a Grady commentating fan, but I would have rather listened to him. At least he tries to talk about the game at hand. Rogan and Schmidt were great to listen to. Hell even scary drug dealer guy tried to talk about the players and the game in progress, but you could always count on Mike to circle it back over to himself again!! BRUTAL!

For me it was the last one I ever watch with him in the box. It started out funny, then turned into car wreck, (How far will he go?) then in the end I just didnt care because he is an arrogant fool. He didn't know that Karl took 3rd in the World Championships and he thought Darren "Applebee" is the current WPA 9 Ball Champion (Darryl "Dazzler" Peach for those who don't follow along at home). I think all that Florida sun has fried his brain. Hell, by the end of the match he calling Karl "Boils". "Boils has a tough out here...let me tell you about the time I farted in church and everyone applauded...."
If your main All Star HOF commentator doesn't even know whats going in the game that is pretty sick. I am still not sure that he knew who Joe was. LOL...Sigel talking about being a celebrity and being all proud of it to a dude who is a celebrity and is as down to earth as possible. It was kind of funny. For a minute.
Joe and John were the nuts. I would watch those guys all night. Joe asked some very insightful and knowledgeable questions. As you would expect from a pro he was awesome in the booth. I like John in the booth because he is upbeat and has a good delivery to go with his experience. Great team. I can not see how any reasonable person can listen to last nights commentary and think Sigel is an asset. Amazing player, not a guy I would want to spend time with and in the end that is what you are doing when you watch.
What really sucks is I have to believe he could add so much to the broadcast if he would only shut up about Mike Sigel. Maybe it is all a ploy "No publicity is bad publicity" but making your poster boy look like an arrogant blow hard just doesn't seem like the best strategy.

I agree with the general consensus that 'meme mike' sucks in the booth. I thought the booth boys missed numerous opportunities to listen in on the mic'ed players in the 14.1 match. "The Chirper" was in full flight explaining his own table lay outs and it would have been interesting to have the option of listening to the players or the booth. JCIN, how much of a hassle would it be to offer that option to us puter viewers???
