The corresponding thread from earlier in the week was a huge success. Everyone's feedback was excellent (especially Jams), and I made many of the suggested changes. I did however withhold a few, as the minimal resulting impact wasn't justified by the time required to make the changes. After all, I have to draw the line somewhere if I want to release this on time!

Anyway, numerous people requested to pre-order the box-set, so I made the webpage for it last night. Pre-orders save $10, and guarantee you'll get your copy by Christmas (expected shipping date is the first week or December).

Website -> http://runoutmedia.com/breakandrun.html

Lastly, I'm going to give away a free box-set to whomever can reply to this thread (no PMs) with a list of all the World Championships titles held by the cast of the movie (year and discipline). First person to do so correctly will win. I'll announce the winner on the weekend.

Thanks again everyone!

Ooops for some reason or another in the excitement of seeing this my brain inserted *also US Open Championships*.

When is the trailer available? $100 is a stiff price for a pool dvd, gotta see how its gonna help my game.

On second thought, with all of those players in there... they must be getting like 500 each or something so that must be why its so pricy. That makes sense.

The set is 3 DVDs, not one. Standard market price for instructional media is $30-$35, so I'm right on par.

And it's a 5 figure production budget. The players were paid well (more than your guess), and will be further compensated upon the products release.

Lastly, there isn't a product on the market that is nearly this advanced (as far as content goes).

Ps. Trailer to be released sometime during the weekend.

Really looking forward to this one. I've really enjoyed the videos that you have put out.

I have something that I can ask for Christmas this year. Sheila won't support my cue addiction any longer. And as I get older I run out of things to ask for.

I originally was going to ask for an Easy Bake oven and a GI Joe but this is way better.
And my game might not suck as much after I watch these. But I won't be able to make all my favorite little cuppy cakes.

I seriously like the idea of having that many pros in on one DVD. It just offers so many different perspectives all on one set.
How can a person not glean enuff info from all of this to not get their moneys worth 10 times over.

Your thinking is similar to my own during the planning stages of the DVD. Not everyone I originally wanted ended up in the DVD, but I did manage to get a few extras. Planning a production around the schedules of so many players was tough, especially when filming during the US Open while some players played every few hours on the losers side bracket.

The language barrier was also difficult. Yukio, Lee Van, and Kiamco were interested, but felt their English wasn't strong enough. Other players simply weren't very camera friendly.

The product isn't perfect, but for once I feel I'm finally working up to my expectation. Hopefully I'll still feel this way when the trailer and DVD are complete soon.

This looks like a fantastic DVD!!! But I have to ask....What in the world was SVB's reason as to why he could not be on it??

I guess you could not get Efren!! price is reasonable, provided the DVD quality is HD, 1080P. Must see sample before i buy.

.

The Mika DVD's were excellent. Hard to believe that you could come out with something better.

Will have to add to my collection.

I should have sample images and the trailer up soon. I filmed this with professional equipment (including pro HD cameras on cranes and dollies), so you can expect a quality product.

Thanks a ton! The big changes here are the cast, the content is far more advanced, and the players do all the talking. Since there is no narrator this time, the players personalities come out nicely. :)

How long can you pre-order the DVD and save the $10?

I have no idea...good question. A week? Two weeks? I guess it will depend on how many people order. I'm winging it. :p

runoutmedia...always puts out high quality products...can't wait for this to come out..so I can notch it up on my x-mas list.

The camera work is always great and the resolution even better. Would like to see how the audio is going to be delivered without a commentator.

Im really excited to see this DVD. Runout Media is top of their class when it comes to video, cant wait to see whats next!
