Breakrak looking for input

Buy It!!

I was an early adopter. I bought the BreakRak when it first came out. At the time, I was just learning the power break. Now I can consistently break at 26mph and often plant the cueball at that speed. If I break at 21-22 mph, I have very good cue ball control.

This device is by far the best investment you could ever make in your break. To be honest, I think it is money better spent on the latest and greatest break cue.

There is another benefit that no one seems to mention. There is a certain stroke you will develop on the break that really maximizes the "pop" of the break. I can't exactly put into words what I mean. You can hit the rack at the same speed and same fullness of hit (so it seems), and yet produce different results in terms of action. I find that the BreakRak really maximized my ability to hit the rack in such a way that the balls just explode apart fast. Like I said, I can't explain it, but you will see for yourself. The device makes a different sound when you hit it with this type of stroke I'm talking about, and you learn to tune into that. This really produces more action on the break. You see how Shane VanBoening doesn't really break super hard, yet gets tons of action out of the rack? I can see the contact of his cue ball on the rack looks and sounds like this type of effect I'm talking about.

This product is HIGHLY recommended. Also, it should be noted that if you can stroke the cueball accurately and smoothly and hit the rack square at high velocity, this is going to groove the straightness and power of your stroke on all shots.

8 Ball Break practice

After a little consternation, I came up with a way to practice the 2nd ball Break in 8 Ball.

Setting up the loose ball takes a second or two, but that is much faster than racking balls. I hope the diagram helps define the shot basics.

feedback

And I never will (unless I break it and need it repaired).

Absolutely the greatest thing for my break EVER!

In 10 minutes, I can get more practice and repetition in than I could in several HOURS of racking my own.:D Then take into account the ability to rack the balls tight every time, fish them out of the pockets, put them in the rack, yada, yada, yada.:p

Honestly, some pool stuff hyping improvement isn't worth the $$. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE THINGS!!

VERY satisfied Customer 4 LIFE.

I understand that it would obviously let you see where you park the CB. Is thee any other feedback?

maximizing benefits of the Break Rak

I know a couple of pros that have them and really lke them.

Please excuse my ignorance, but I have tried the Break Rak & I'm not certain that I am getting the maximum benefit from the experience.

1. Obviously, the efficiency permits me to get far more repetitions of the break stroke in a given practice session.

2. If the CB comes to rest in the center of the table, I can assume that I did something positive.

However, can I assume that I transferred maximum force into the rack?

Can I assume that I hit the object ball "dead in the face?"

Can I get any reading on my speed? accuracy? precise point of contact?

What other feedback should I be seeking?

I stopped playing pool close to two years ago, I sold a few of my things as I didnt think I would play seriously again.

This is one of the things I sold and really miss LOL.

As with any product made to improve your game, if you dont actually use it its not worth much. Difference is if you do use this one it is worth WAY more than you paid for it!

Would get my vote for one of the best billiard products ever.

I love mine. My break is TONS better since I got the breakrak last year. Thanks Charlie! BTW - Charlie's book on breaking is well worth the money too!

I have one coming & I'm looking forward to it a lot.
btw - I understand that SVB has been using one for a long time & he has a "better than average" break...

The convenience of large numbers of repetitions in a given session is obvious.

Excuse my ignorance, but what feedback do you get other than knowing you hit the head ball & CB position?

If the CB parks in the middle of the table, can you assume a proper hit on the headball?

Hi Colin, believe me, I tried. The one ball gadget would not work, even when made from a heavier material. Would you like to invest some money, maybe you would like to be licensed to manufacture & sell BreakRAKs in Great Britain...

When I make 50 BreakRAKs, it takes a while to sell them to Pool Players that don't believe in the product, den't feel they have a need, can't afford it or just not into practicing. Meanwhile the telephone & internet are eating away at my small profit.

Not one person has ever asked for their money back on a BreakRAK. Who else in business, can say that? Everyone of the BreakRAKs sold, were by "word of mouth" or at a Tournament. $210 for a product, that you can use for years, is not an expensive product.

This product is used by Pros, used in Pool Schools & by over a thousand good players. I don't see the price going down, because machine shop prices are high, so are the materials. Those of you who like to practicie the Break Shot, have 3 choices, rack the balls, don't practice or buy a BreakRAK.

Man I really got get one of these one of these days

Mine is on its way, thank you for the AZ deal Charlie.

To those who want one, and believe it will benefit you - search for used breakraks for sale. You will find a lot of people wanting one, but I didn't see anyone selling.

I easily justified the investment when I realized if I ever wanted to sell it, it would go fast. When I talked to Charlie this week he assured me I will never sell it, I wouldn't want to share the tool with a potential opponent!

Breakrak's are a limited quantity product. Price isn't going to go down - costs to manufacture will only go up, and demand will only go up as more folks learn about the product.

Anyhow, I am not a salesman nor have I used one yet - but wanted to share my thoughts with potential buyers.

update: I received my BreakRAK and got a chance to use it this weekend, I couldn't be happier with the results - except it wore me out!

I have one. Of all the tools and gimics I have seen (and tried), this is the best. It really is "The Real Deal".

It takes a minute or so to set up, and then you can work your break 6 times per minute easily.

I wish i got the carry case and the book "The GREAT Break Shot by Charley Bond" when I got it.

If you can run out at your game, this can really make the diffrence, look at Shane Van Boeing, the best break in the pro world (IMOP).

It won't make you better, it will make it easire for you to make you better...

If anyone owns one of these I would like your feedback. I may be interested in one of these if the price were right. Here is the website: http://www.breakrak.com/ They are a bit spendy so I would like to hear from someone who owns one before taking the plunge.

People are now paying $25+ for a piece of chalk thinking it will improve their game because of less miscues, and maybe that's true. So, for the price of 10 pieces of chalk you will definitely improve the most important part of today's, 9-ball & 10-ball games, the break. Just ask how important the break is to SVB.

The Breakrak is a must for anyone that is serious about improving their game. I like the earlier suggestion about going in with others to share.

Dave and Pete...You guys do realize this is a 2 1/2 year old thread don't you? :D I agree that the BreakRak is a great training tool!
