Cues like this

Sell reguardles of weight or specs. It is a collectable cue. If you are in the market for one, this might just be your lucky day. Kevin, how much was the forearm sold for? Over 6 bills?
This is a cue! I am selling this cue for a old friends wife. It will not sell cheap. And I will make nothing. I have nothing to gain here but being helpful.
The Runde and the Runde Schon are also available but lets try this Spain cue first for this nice lady. They too will not just be given away. The Schick and the Predate are sold.

Nick

The first blank sold for $910. We'll see how the 2nd one does tomorrow. Is your cue signed, dated or numbered at all?

Thanks

Kevin

This is not my cue

I believe not. Thank you Mr Kevin! You are most helpful and best of luck with your other Burton Spain forearm!
Nick :)

That's a beauty, a #23 in Burton's catalog

It certainly is a Beautiful cue, and I agree it appears to be a Model 23. Below, I am going to include an Original copy of Burton's order sheet that also include specifications for the photo you posted, this sheet is from 1982. I think some will find much of the information interesting.

The first offer is 1500

A little short. But thanks. Keepem coming. 2Bills may do. It may not. The other cues are not for sale yet but I will relay offers.
Thank you all,
Nick :)

Nice gesture with helping

Wow, this looks awesome. $1500... yeah right. If a short splice forearm goes for $900+ from one of the all-time BEST in blank building than would a whole cue go for $1500?

By the way, these forearms look very solid and every time I see one I am reminded to two things that Joel Hercek said: 1) Back, at the beginning with Burton teaching him he (Joel) was shocked seeing how much maths and knowledge is involved in the building of one of the blanks and 2) when in the making process, these blanks are so solid you can literally stand on them and they won't break... and then he adds:

"Are my cues made to be stood on? No, of course not, but that tremendous strength translates into a very solid, consistent hit".

Good luck with the sale, not that you'll need it.

The next offer is $1750

It is getting close to where I will relay the offers. Don't loose out. There have been some extreemly nice examples of collectables including the Szam that Bill had on his web page from these friends and business partneers.
Pm's concerning the other cues will be answered after the Spain sells. I want to keep it simple. One at a time.
Thanks again,
Nick :)

I'm wondering if this cue is a personalized #23??

#23 in the cataolg has only one set of rings in the butt, this one has two.

Russ.....

Russ, you make a very good point, not only does the Model only have a single set of rings, the rings according to Burton's Specification sheet should be Brass not the Nickle Silver pictured. Also the Model 23 did not have veneered points like the cue pictured, the points were just a hardwood.

I suspect that either the cue is a modified Model 23 or 22, that was personalized for a player.

Good Catch and take care.
