Carmeli Cues

Lately i have seen a lot of these cues for sale.They always look good but does anyone know how they hit?

I've owned 2, one of them I still have.....the only reason I traded the other is because a good friend liked it and I like to trade :grin-square:

The one I still have, it's one of those cues I have had for years and will keep until I die.....IMHO, the work is flawless, they make clean, beautiful cues......the hit question is a subjective one, but I will say that mine hits like "butta".....they do quality work and the final product is worth every penny....

Great cues, solid hit, clean work, nice designs and good value for your money, haven't hit with one that hit badly and I've hit with a ton of them.

Asking about how they hit is a difficult question for anyone to answer. What feels stiff to me may be soft and whippy to another. What some think are amazing players, others think are over-priced pieces of junk.

My best advice is... find someone who owns one and hit a few balls with their cue.

I agree hit is subjective.I guess I am concerned that there seems to be so many Carmeli cues out there,its almost like a production shop.Does this make it a wise investment if you buy one of the higher end ones?

My advise, for what it's worth, buy it to play with, not as an investment. Cardiac Kid recently got one and likes it a lot, I've known him for years and he may respond to this thread with his assessment.

In my opinion, buying a cue by a living cue maker is a crapshoot, except for a very few of the most highly respected, Hall of Fame-type names. Carmeli makes a great cue, and isn't a "production shop" (whatever that means, after all SW puts out hundreds of cues a year...), but is not one of those select few. In this economy, it's probably not wise to buy a pool cue as an investment.

I noticed that too- and it's killing my action (trying to raise $ and to get to the pro event at VF!)

Agreed.

Every one of them I have ever hit balls with, hit "right" - IMO. That is why I play with one.

Everyone should try one...
