It is time we mobilized and did something about this! And we can! I just went to tsa.gov and filed a "suggestion" with them about the ineffectiveness of not allowing pool players to carry their cues onboard a plane as carry on luggage.
I pointed out that they did not make good weapons, in effect only a club. A sharpened pencil is a better weapon. Also the distinct possibility that a cue checked as luggage can be lost or stolen, and it happens all the time. Also a cue is easy to X-Ray to see if their is anything concealed inside it.
If enough of us contact them, we may be able to get cues taken off the list of prohibited items to carry on a plane. I also pointed out to them that carrying a camera tripod or a skateboard constitutes an equal threat, which is nil. And that pool players are either amateur or professional players, nothing more, nothing less.
Just click on their "contact us" heading and write your own thoughts on the matter. If enough of us contact them, they may begin to see the light. Thanks!
