Chapter 5, Not Giving up on the Road

I played little Joe races to three for five a set and he quit after losing the first two sets.

+$10

then I played pedro races to five even for 30 a set and won one and lost one and he quit.

$0

Then I spotted Scotty the eight and the last two races to seven for fifty a set and won the first set lost the second set and won the third set and he quit.

+$50

Then I went to fast eddies and played Chris races to five even for 20 a set, won the first set and lost a set to break even.

$0

We played one final set, I tied it up 4 to 4 and asked if he wanted to back it and jack it or play out the final rack, which he chose to do even on my break, so I broke and ran the entire rack and then hung the nine ball in the jaws for a twenty dollar loss.

-$20

...staying at Sleep Inn for 89$ plus tax. Nice room though.

-$89 (plus tax)

Started off playing Craig even, everyone thought he was the favorite. I played him races to seven for twenty a set and won three sets in a row

+$60

theh he suggested we chang from table three to table four and raise the bet to fourty, I only agreed to thirty since thats half of what I just worked so hard for. He won the flip for the break, and I beat him 7 to 5.

+$30

then I played scotty again, this time instead of playing a race for fifty I suggested we play ten a rack and I offered him the seven. For some reason he said hed rather have the eight and the last two which I quickly obliged him. I got him stuck 6 racks down before he quit and it was only 5 o clock pm.

+60

So adding this all up...you've made a total of $101 dollars excluding the taxes for the room, food, drinks and table time. For two days worth of "work". Wow.

If I had to play pool all day for $101, I would quit. I love pool, but I don't love it so much I would tire myself out for so cheap.

But she is doing what she wants to do, and I am sure is not supporting a family. But I see no rainbow in the distance for her either.

The only question I have had, throughout every thread Rhea has created, is how does she find these random people to play long races for $10-20? lol

I play out of this room and will just say some people like to have something on the line but it doesn't have to be a lot. That includes me. I bet what I can afford to lose. I have played basically all of the players she mentioned for the same amounts. I consider them friendly games where nobody is trying to take every penny the other player has. I will also say there are several masters/grandmasters in the room who will play for whatever amount you want but won't play the cheap sets.

Back it and Jack it.

I dont know why it is but everytime i read this gambling lingo
being tossed around so cavalierely for ten or
twenty dollar sets like theyre playing for hundreds
or thousands it just sounds so Hokey Pokey.

Haha

I was playing a race to 20 for $5 dollars and then I decided to back it and jack it when we were hill-hill so I could get guac on my chipotle burrito with my huge score

Well maybe 10 or 20 is her comfort zone. If you like to back her for more, I am sure she would love that.

While she is "doing what she wants to do", she is on the road and needs to make money as this is a main source of her income right? It's not like she's has a steady job and the $101 she won (minus taxes for the room, food, drinks and table time) is in addition to her regular pay. She's staying in bus stops and breaking into people's trucks for pete sake. $101 for two days for a "road player"? that's laughable.

On a side note, what happened to the video link of Rhea playing a tourney match against another woman? I think slomoholic was the streamer?

Next thing you know, we will see a post where Rhea was being backed and actually wins a few hundred or more. Then maybe we can hear some stories about staying at the Trump Plaza and "backing it and jacking it" with the "Donald" until the cash ran out.

Then back on the road playing Sammy and Donny for $3 a game call-pocket, at least 3 rail, bank pool on a shimmed 7-foot slow-rolling Valley table that was built in 1963.

These stories just keep getting better and better...I can't wait everyday to catch up on the "news" of the day...forget about the missing plane...the Crimea....

Just "WTF is Rhea up to today?" is what's happening.

LMAO.

All in jest folks!

zzz
