How do you or anyone determine he will do a good job -
by the respect he has from the players (if there is any because the public has spoke)
by his ability to judge skill as, for example, he has declared Lorraine a top pro?
by his past coaching success? please describe
It's like hiring a new employee. I see they have potential. At the end of the day though it comes down to production. If he wins he has to be a good captain.
