A few people have been putting CJ's playing ablility down lately. I doubt any of those saying he can't play would like to match-up against him. I know I would not, except for the opportunity to say, 'I played CJ Wiley, naturally I lost'.

Is there anyone out there that thinks they can beat CJ Wiley for the money.

Some have basically said that CJ is not even playing up to short stop level.
I'd like to see someone prove that.

CJ says he's ready to play. Any takers. He's easy to find & according to some easy for the taking.
 
Seriously, this is the exact topic of the "CJ on Tar" thread, where people are busily compiling lists of who could match up with him.
Did we need yet another CJ vs X thread?

What's the point in woofing on behalf of another person that you probably don't even know?

Pretty sure people know how to find CJ and vice versa.

If they want to play, they'll contact each other and play.

Railbird chirping is analogous to pool player barking. It's ingrained in the fabric of American pool. ;)

I'm not going to create a poll, but I'm curious as to the actual ratio of railbirds versus pool players on this forum. :D

I would like to know this myself, and I really need the competition. When I go around I rarely find anyone that will play, but maybe I can round up 10 or 20 guys and start getting back in stroke, then I'll think about playing Efren or Bustemante some serious pool.

Thousand dollar sets are fine, and I'll play for $20 a game is the money is any issue, I just want to play some serious players.

Rick, to be 97% good in pool is to know how to aim and see that peripheral vision and know where to aim at. What differentiate good players from not so good is the ability to narrow that aim spot to within tenth of an inch for long or thin cuts that are far from pocket and know how to adjust for errors. CJ already there, the 3% is knowing how to move cue ball and positioning he is already there too. All CJ needs is two weeks of long session practice to beat anyone on earth, sure a little luck on his side would not heart.

Hi Mr. Creedo,

With all do respect, Justin has basically inferred that he has no interest in CJ in a TAR Match. So that is not happening any time soon. Maybe if someone steps up to play CJ & CJ wins, that might change. Personally I'd love to see more Old Dog Wars, similiar to the Senior Tour in Golf. I know that might not be TAR's direction, but a mix of 'past' & present would be a good thing for the game IMO.

We won't find out CJ's true speed if no one will step up & play him. If he loses, then those putting him down will be proved correct & CJ might have to quiet down. There is a lot of talk out there that there is just not much money to be made in pool. Well according to some CJ would be a 'fish'. All someone has to do is real him in. CJ says he is ready, willing, & able to test the water.

This can happen asap with no dependance on TAR. Bigtruck might want to be involved. If not, maybe Avina Productions can do something. Watching CJ play can only be a good thing, win or lose to whoever wants to take him on.

Why is someone continually stirring the pot? Aren't there more productive things to discuss on this forum?
 
To his credit for the most part it is other people constantly starting threads about him, or a matchup, or a TOI question, or etc etc. He can't be faulted for other people repeatedly doing this.

Are you planning on playing all the events at Tunica? That would likely be the extra motivation I need to make the trip to watch.

I am under the impression most of the stuff in the main forum doesn't provide the most productive discussion. I guess it depends on how you use the word productive.

I personally would like to see CJ match up early on vs maybe Manny Chau or Sylver Ochoa and see how he fares. That should be relatively easy to set up since all parties reside in Texas.

Nobody is saying he cannot play. Not being able to play is different than not being about to beat a top player for the cash. He plays very good and would beat most short stops and open level players, but I do not see him beating a lower tier professional in a longer race much less a higher tier professional.

I saw that YouTube list where CJ is playing the 15ball ghost while talking to the camera not once but twice was he able to run out both those racks while explaining his aiming method.

That alone is not easy, to beat the 15ball ghost but to do it twice while explaining something to a camera is just plain insane.

Btw CJ nice vid and nice table, I'm sure you heard this before but if they are talking that means you pose a threat to a lot of people on the table.

Why would nobody be interested on having you on TAR?
