When I was in LA in late 60s and early 70s, my backer was Mike Weldon, a pool bug and porn film producer. I spent a little time watching some of the shooting. It became boring quickly. Ordinary Hollywood was wild enough in those days, and was probably much more exciting than porn films. It cost about 5k to make a movie then. They would take about 3 days to shoot, males received anywhere from $50 to $100 a day, females got $150 a day and top stars like Ron Jeremy or Johnny Wad got between $500 and $1000 a day. And no, I never got into one, I fell a little short in the "special equipment" requirement.
