Cocobolo on Ebony

This is the first cue I've finished in 2011 due to my computer issues. The cue was actually done at the end of last year, but I had to recreat my ringwork for the shafts. It was several days of tests to get it where I wanted it. It's actually the 10th cue I ever built. I had Gina send it back to me quite a while ago, changed the ringwork and added inlays.

Four cocobolo points on an Ebony Forearm. Veneers of Green, Blue, Green and Blue. Ringwork was changed to my dot / barbell style in... Ivory and Abalone. Inlays in points are Abalone Notched Diamonds with a .005" Ivory border. Ivory borders around the dots in the ringwork are also .005".

Butt consists of 4 Abalone Notched Diamonds with .008" Ivory Borders and 16 Abalone Dots with .008" Ivory Borders.

Black Phenolic Joint and Butt Cap. Black Bison Wrap.

No Art. I'll have a few there. Chase down Mickey to see his. It's going to be pretty nice. I'll also have one at the Straight Pool challenge being raffled off. A few more will be floating around too.

I won't have any of my own to sell. Kenny C and Jamie should though. Also Guycrunch should have at least one, possibly two to sell.

HOLY SMOKES! Just when I spoke good word about Zinzola he brings this out.

I like the veneers too, maybe even a brighter shade of those same colors (of course it could be the picture) but I like that ALOT!

Awesome work as always Mr. Zinzola.

Congratulations Mickey!

Is this being shipped or are you getting at VF?

Thanks for sharing,
Chris

Chris, this isn't Mickey's. Mickey's will be a bit fancier. It will take me a few days to inlay his, but his tests are done, so I should have it at VF for him.

Turned out real nice, Tony... But it looks like Ebony into Coco. make it thru w/o any serious skin stuff? I about half expected my cue would be the last cocobolo cue you'd ever do.

This one was done in 2007 Chris. I guess it is Ebony on Coco. It's twin was the other way around.

I'm doing a couple right now, but I take them slow. Last thing I do before I quit for the day. Seems the allergies aren't as bad as they were. I'm sure if I overdo it, they'll be back though.

That won't work because, as he says a couple posts up, Mickey doesn't "carry cues with". Guess he'll have to leave the cue in PA. :p
