Just a suggestion on your deal. You may try guarantee satisfaction and use a escrow service. This may make the potential buyer feel a little better. Again just a suggestion.

The two red dots under your name doesn't help matters much... You might as well have a scarlett letter as your avatar.

The aforementioned idea may help. Maybe there's someone with a better rep on the board thats local to you, and they can check it out to vouch for its quality.

O.K. This is just my opinion here. Its very hard to sell stuff in a crappy market. Its exponentially harder to sell something in a crappy market when people think you are pulling the wool over their heads. If you want to sell a lot of items here, hell, more than one item here, I believe there are a few things that you must do. Again, this is just my opinion. When the first deal went bad with the cracked ferrule, I would have offered to take the cue back and paid for return shipping. I mean, the customer is always right, right? Secondly, I'm not calling you a liar here, but you have to be dead honest with everything. If, your not, it'll come back to bite you in the ass ten fold. Sometimes it bites you in the ass anyway. I've been brutally honest here about taper rolls on shafts. The slightest taper roll in my description later on became people telling me that the cue is not selling because of the warped shafts. Hell, one person told me that it was because the joint was warped. How? I havent the slightest. Oh well, crap happens. At least I have a clean conscience. I'd rather be honest and take a loss, then be dishonest and lose any chance of selling here again. Again, I'm not saying that you lied, but people think that you did, and thats all that matters. Now, there were a few people here that were willing to send me a cue without payment. I would then inspect, and if happy, send payment. I think that I earned that right and I am truly humbled by those peoples trust in me. My friend, I think you might have to do that. You will have to pick and choose who you send to, but just like bad credit, you have to rebuild your reputation. Send your cue out to someone and have them inspect it. If they like it, they will send payment. Or, just keep dropping the price until the cue sells. Or Ebay. I see that you tried it and I dont know how that turned out, but you had zero feedback. Thats a killer over there. I hope I helped, but then again what the hell do I know.

Good ideas. Maybe MrSchon9 can also vouch for him a little, since they did a deal in the past, and it seemed to go good. I hope everything works out ok, and your rep will improve, given that you, are indeed, a good and honest seller. That is too bad if one transaction in the past causes a hard sell for you.

Since you brought it up I went back and read the thread relative to your previous deal with Matt. Based on that (did you ever pay the guy his 150.00?) why would anyone deal with you? you are 1 of the guys who would have to put his money up on the lights before I'd play you - even with a mortal lock. - have you ever heard - fool me once shame on you - fool me twice shame on me?

Your above description of the deal gone bad is less than accurate and more than about a cracked ferrule. It is about your blatant untruthfulness and attitude that you did nothing wrong. When confronted with the truth and the buyer's efforts to work with you to correct the problem you basically told the buyer to go piss up a rope. Bad deal, bad attitude equals tough shiz. You should eat this cue or use it in your garden.

So then i guess i shouldnt have given him good rep thinking he was a good guy being honest?

chances are there's more to the story than what yo umentntioned here. if you offered to correct the mistake or refund the cash i don't think there would have been a problem at all. i bought a shaft from someone here that turned out to be warped (i blame fedex, it was shipped on a friday) anyway he made it right and it was never negatively spoken of
