Congrats man, glad you knocked one of these off. Hope you make it back around this way sometime soon. You have any plans to try to make the Smokey Mtn Shootout again?
BTW- I definitely, positively, absolutely and without a doubt need at least the 8 from this point forward.
Great shooting Roy and be real glad my buddy Jeff didn't start telling you jokes while racking, its hard to play rolling on the floor laughing. That boy is a dang nut a lot of fun to be around in a poolroom exp. Randolphs. Keep on winning Roy.--Leonard
Leonard, Jeff was a very worthy opponent and I was glad that he made it back into the finals against me. He showed a lot of heart to get back into the finals after our first meeting and won two matches against two A players. One of them his opponent was on the hill and he needed 3 games to win. The other was Tony Morrison who isn't a bad player himself and that's the best thing I will say about that POS. He screwed me out of $600 on a cue deal where he sold me a knockoff Ginacue claiming he was hardup for the cash and so I thought I'd help him out. I told him that I would find out that night if it was a real ginacue and that if I found out it wasn't then we would get together the next day and have my money returned. Once I got home I spoke with Brandon Pureza who knows ginacues very well knew exactly what cue I had since he had spoken to Tony not less than a month before and told him that he was certain that the cue was a Filipino immitation cue that was worth less than $100. He didn't return my phone calls for a few weeks and when he did he said he'd already lost the money playing a certain player who I later found out he never played because he backed down from playing him. He kept giving me the runaround until he eventually he made it obvious he never would return the money. I just chalked it up as a hard earned lesson about being careful who you try to help.
So yeah I was glad Jeff beat him and in a way I wasn't. I wouldn't have minded torturing him one more time. I played him to get on the hill in that tournament. You think I didn't want to shoot his nuts in? It was a very satisfying tournament to win. Directly before our match he had the audacity to ask me about that cue he "sold" me. Just a move to get in my head is all it was and I recognized it for what it was and did not let it affect me. After I won the tournament he started woofing at me about matching up and I quickly let him know that I would gladly after he returned my $600. Of course he ran his mouth like a little weasel that he is acting like he wasn't wrong for what he did. Even though I like my side of it playing that ***** I wouldn't ever give him a chance at any more of my money. It was great feeling to relegate him to only 3rd place. He could have easily won $1400 but ended up with only $250 and some change. It's nice to get the last laugh every once in a while.
