he was so sad when he lost to thorsten in the 2013 w9b semis. now he has the title! CONGRATULATIONS CARLO BIADO!!!
 
Carlo has finally emerged as the #1 player from the Philippines! It's been a long and difficult road to get here but Carlo never gave up. A great player and an equally good man! :thumbup:
 
Is he considered the best 9 ball player in the world now?

i don't follow tournament pool,only getting my information on here

i accidentally did watch the finals and he seemed to be a steady easy player

it was fun watching the two filipinos kidding around with each other before the finals

seemed to be best friends,one even swatted the others head in a friendly way
 
I remembered when Carlo lost to Ko Pin Yi in the World 10 Ball Championship, it broke my heart because I really wanted to see him clinched the world title, he always seemed to be on the losing end at the final stages, always 2nd, 3rd or 4th place finishes. Ko, whom was very consistent and just playing so good that year winning both world 9 and 10 ball titles simultaneously. I'm glad Carlo never gave up and I'm so happy to see him in the winning circle this time round! Gold medal in World Games and now this title, gives him a major boost in confidence. I'm just glad to see him get that monkey off his back.

I don't know Carlo, but have watched him play in a few tournaments.
I'm glad to see him win a Championship after some disappointing finishes.
Just shows what determination, patience, and perserverence will do, as long as you have the ability, and he sure does.
 
Great accomplishment by Carlo.

I'd like to see him in an action match with some of the big names. I remember a few yrs ago Carlo played Hatch on POV Pool. It was awesome to watch.

That was a great match to watch. I agree. Carlo and hatch duked it out to the final frame of a long set. Great commentary too.

While I'm here, congratulations to Carlo on this world title. That finals match, Carlo just made the game look so easy. A great player bringing the title back to his country.
