Thx for sharing jay. Your assumption is that masks work and you believe that. I respect that. However, I disagree. You might be right/I might be right/chances are we are both partly right. Just because you believe what some say about masks, doesn’t mean that you are correct. In America citizens Typically are allowed the opportunity to exercise their constitutionally protected freedom rights. You can’t just tell people to do it because you choose to believe in it. Hope that makes sense. Thanks.
And on a practical level, how is it that my mask stops the virus (assuming I have it) from entering the general atmosphere, but YOUR (generic you) mask doesn't stop the virus in the general atmosphere from infecting YOU? That is kind of the fatal flaw in the 'wear a mask to protect other people' argument. If a mask can stop the virus from leaving me, it can stop the virus from entering you. It is not as if the mask's virus stopping abilities are unidirectional.

We had an idiot threaten an old timer who asked him to put on a mask. About 10 of us surrounded him and politely asked him to leave or stay take a beating. Would not have ended well for him.
It took 10 of you's! LOL!

Yes sir.
Now look at the fact that there isn't a single scientific, peer reviewed, study on mask since this BS started.
NOT 1!
Now go look at the years of science, and actual peer reviewed studies done prior to this shit.
Mask are not healthy, wearing them for extended periods of time is bad, etc..etc..
Hence why they told us not to wear mask they don't help, in the beginning.
It's absolutely ludicrous.
Ever been to the beach and tried to keep sand off shit?
Yeah it don't work lol.
Now try and wrap your feeble brains around the size of the virus, in comparison to a grain of sand...I'll wait.
Can you grasp it?
Probably not, but to think your mask is doing anything is laughable to the point of stupidity.
If you literally got shot in the head, and they swab you, and you test positive, cause of death is covid.
Happening all over the county, Facts Jack.
Follow the money and corruption.
Now factor in we have a senile pedophile possibly about to be president, and his first course of action is to shut the country down.
Way more so, than we've currently seen by the way.
And people on here talking about they are wearing a mask for the good of pool and this country, bahahaha.
Common sense is departing the gen pop at an uncommon rate.
I'll take a $1000 dollar bet with the first dummy that wants to bet, that if Biden wins, less than 20% of pool halls currently open, will be open this time next yr.
You want to do something for pool and your country, dump the shit out of your ears, open your eyes, and start thinking for yourself and quit believing the bullshit propaganda that keeps being shoved in your face, day in and day out, and TAKE THE MASK OFF.
My god, the pollution from this shit is unbelievable!
Down in here texas, these fucking things litter the ground everywhere you go without exception.
Sidewalk, store floor, beach, lake, EVERYWHERE.
Yeah thats real good, take a mask, filled with the "VIRUS" and just toss it on the ground.
If the establishment believed what they are telling you, you would have to dispose of mask the same as needles, swabs, etc., and you WOULDN'T be allowed to re-use it.
Just like we currently do with all medical paraphernalia.
People wanna scream wear a mask, but don't have the decency to put the darn thing in the trash, at the least, say nothing of proper medical procedure.
Sad sad sad place we are in.
THINK!!!!!!

If there is anybody else who wears glasses how do you keep them from fogging up when wearing a mask? I wear one in a store but I couldn't play pool in a mask. Fortunately I have a 9' table at home so I don't need to go to a pool hall.

They make a wax for rifle scopes, binoculars, etc, that you wipe on and it polishes off clear.
When it's 0° on the side of a mountain and you put a pair of binos, or a scope to your warm face they instantly fog.
It works great, and most optics manufacturers have something similar.
Zeiss, Swaro, Leopold, etc..
Easiest option, take off the mask.
Since the beginning I've yet to put one on.
Traveling all over the west hunting this fall, I run 2 businesses and cover 4 states Travelingextensively, stopped in multiple dispensaries in Colorado, sign across the hwy in Gunnison, Co saying everyone has to wear mask, Yada, Yada, Yada, I've only had 2 places refuse me service and they were both here in Texas.
Gotta wear a mask, then I'll spend my money elsewhere.
They're gonna bankrupt us all, and you're gonna do it willingly, "if it saves just one life :-/".
We have to put a end to this shit.
And before you refute me, go find some actual science, not what they are telling you.

Those folks with asthma or other respiratory ailments sometimes simply cannot wear masks. Any extra CO2 in their systems will make them lightheaded enough to pass out.
Think of this next time you see a driver wearing a mask. Watch as some act like they're drunk.
You are talking out of your ass. I have asthma, my lungs are severely damaged from lung cancer/radiation, and have serious heart issues. This makes me high risk, so I wear a mask whenever I seldomly leave home to protect myself. I manage just fine.

If you're so fragile you can't survive wearing a mask, the outside world might not be for you right now.

I wonder if the folks who complain about an establishment asking folks to wear masks complain about the mandatory "no shirt, no shoes, no service" as well?

This pretty much nails it. Most of the masks I see don't protect the person wearing them nearly as much as they protect other people. Also, the virus can enter through your eyes, so eye protection would increase safety from the virus.

The big deal is all of the people that don't know they have covid. The risk of passing covid to other people is vastly reduced by wearing a mask. Coughs and sneezes release large quantities of moisture droplets and the virus piggybacks on these. Reduce droplets in the air, reduce the amount of virus in the air. The masks can catch most water droplets even if not fitted properly for a dangerous atmosphere. From what little I have seen maybe one or two percent of people are wearing what should be full protection for themselves. Almost everyone is wearing a mask that will reduce the spread of the virus.

I wear a mask because I don't want to be responsible for the death of a family member, a friend, or even a stranger. While we don't really know how many people covid is killing I think a fair judgment could be given by looking at how many people died in the same time period last year and looking at the trend in deaths from preceding years. Covid related deaths are on a whole under reported.

I came within a gnat's ass of dying last year. Couldn't breathe, had to have emergency oxygen, blood pressure out of sight, pulse over 200. After the ride in the little red wagon with bubble gum machines on top I got t spend a week in the local hospital, still paying on that bill! The doctor told me I had what would have been a minor lung infection without my other lung issues.

We wear these little cloth and paper masks mostly for other people, and hope like hell they are wearing them for us!

I have no problem at all with an individual business setting a dress code for their customers.

I can make a decision whether or not to spend my hard-earned money there or not. That’s the free enterprise system at work.

I do have issue with the government making arbitrary decisions that affect both me and that business owner.

Went to the casino last night, my dealer had glasses, had to ask him how his glasses don't fog like mine. The secret is, wear your glasses over the mask, further down your nose. It worked for me last night, and will continue to use it. Hope it helps...

How are things going in Florida now? The Covid rate in the Miami area is surging, that much I know for sure.
All of the my neighbors and friends are social distancing and acting responsible, but my wife and I got away for one night after thanksgiving and stayed on Clearwater Beach. It was absolutely packed and no one, I mean No One, was wearing masks. I fished most of the day so I didn’t get there until 4ish but by then most people were off the beach and hitting the strip. It was so bad we wound up getting an early dinner while sitting outside at the Beachcomber and just went back to the room and sat on the balcony having a glass of wine. People must think they can’t get sick while on vacation.

So far they are reporting 41 cases from the swingers convention in New Orleans. Who would have thunk it? I was wondering how popular doggy style was or maybe sixty-nine. Missionary surely wouldn't be my first choice! Of course I still poke a stick in a strange hole before poking my stick in it, might be bees in there!

I have to wear a mask for work. I have to wear a mask to attend my kids sporting events. It seems I have a mask on 95% of my day. I still got Covid. If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all. :(

Thanks - I'll do that next time they fog up in a store. Wouldn't work for shooting pool though. Farther down the nose means I'd be looking over the top of the glasses when down on a shot and it changes the focal point.
