Cornerstone Thieves Nabbed -- Bill Recovers 1/2 of his Cues

Bill's Cues Recovered

Bill, I was confident all along that your cues would be found and/or returned.

John Wright had the same thing happen to him in the late 90's. He called me the day they were stolen and was very dispondent because he also had no cue insurance. In the end, all his cues were returned undamaged. John never pressed charges only because of their young age.

I hope you press charges and do everything in your power to give them the "justice" they deserve.

Good Luck and Best,
Hal

Its funny in a good way, how good cues seem to awalys make their way back to the owner, Rolex watches never do. Its great that cue guys stick together, my friends Szam and other big cues were stolen from the pool room back in 88 or 89, the Szam was worth $25,000 back then it is a LOADED 8pt cue(nowdays its worth perhaps $150,000). We all made calls to everypool room in the country we knew(no internet back then) and told them what was missing. A few months later most of the cues made their way back, from Chicago to N. Calif the Szam was safe. Amazing. Its such a small passionate market that we all look out for each other to the etent we can, there is no shot at selling all of Bills cues, the guy figured that out and turned them into a hostage for a ramsom.

I'm so happy for Bill, man my heart hit the floor when I read what happened. I know Mike Gartland is right they will hammer these guys-its a slam dunk case.

Hey Bill,
I just got back from the show..
I'm glad to hear they caught the theives..
Hope you get them all back..
Best,
Ken

Hey Bill,

Congratez then you got back 1/2 of your cue hope you get the rest back too and too those thieves crime does not pay anything if fact it's pay you to sleep in jail

Glad to hear you got at least half of them back.

Funny thing is, while I was waiting for my account here to be activated so I could post, I was searching the 'net, and came across Cornerstone, and had been drooling over some of the custom cues there. Way to much for me to pay, but damn those are some really nice cues! :embarrassed2:

they(the theives) gave us a set back but we are still going strong and this year we will be blessed as we were here! no matter what gets thrown at us God still blesses me and my partners (Ethan 6 years old and ava 2years old). this will be a year of prospering!!

Bill:

I am happy to hear that you was able to get some of your product back. Keep believing and you will get it all!!!

DOUG

I just wish The Action Report was on the scene for the sting - that would have been great streaming video! Again, best news I've heard in a long time on this site. Congratulations on your blessed recovery.

I'm sure this has been asked and probably discussed... But how the heck do you have THAT MUCH INVENTORY and NO INSURANCE?????

I am very glad to hear you recovered what you did! the rest are going to be very hard to hide. (especially If they try to sell them on this planet.)

I sure hope you have some sort of business insurance so this is not a huge financial loss on top of all the stress intrinsically caused by this sort of thing.
If not, maybe this is a heads up for many folks who are just as vulnerable, to find some protection.

I know some of the collections the members here have shared are reaching tens of thousands of dollars. And a few are surely in the million $ plus category.

This situation will be very interesting to watch unfold. Please keep us all up to date.
I sure hope you get to see these jackasses get some heavy prison time. for for pulling this crap on you! Who knows what all they've done and gotten away with??

Best of luck to you,
Jayman.

Hi Bill,

I am glad that you have recoverd a part of your cues already, and am pulling for the rest to be returned very, very quickly. Stay strong, the rest will surely be returned. It sounds like authorities are on the trail.

If I can help in any way, just let me know.

Take care,

Will

wow.. glad to hear everything is working out.. hopefully the guy wont do anything stupid to the other cues before he is caught..

I am not sure if this would work but it seems to me that if you register as a business then you should be able to get business insurance on your merchandise.

I have always carried full coverage on everything in my business. I get it that policies and companies are diffferent everywhere but it seems awfully discriminatory that a person can't get insured for pool cues by a United States based insurance company.

Lloyds of London seems a bit ridiculous if you ask me. Perhaps on some of the super pricey cues but on the sub $10,000 ones???

Or am I completely out of line here for thinking that Bill got hosed by his insurance agent as well?

hi conerstone bill...

i just wanted to tell you a little story...

last night i prayed for you and peace in your heart, and replied to you in another thread about this theft.

then when finished with that... i prayed again and prayed that the, or, these thugs are "stupid and thoughtless enough to be caught immediately".

guess what... i pray for you and long behold it comes true. i guess it is because you deserve it my friend!!

we are so happy for you,
smokey

Or at least a safe or two.

Safes work unless the thieves have a Tow Truck, add (1) good security system with private armed responce. Like the Hollywood Crowd all have in their homes. I use to work for a company called Belaie Patrol. We provided security systems, and Armed Guards that responed to all alarms going off.
