could someone explain this one??

It is a nice cue but have to agree that there appears to be some insanity in the number of bids at the high price.
That is 11 bumps in the $2k and over range.
I too do not understand but a cue is worth what a buyer is willing to pay for it.
But if it sells and the deal closes for that amount, it will be great for the seller.

I think the fact that it is a new, unused cue, and the fact that of you are not already on the waiting list, the chances of receiving a brand new cue is slim.
That being said, its a very pretty looking SW, just not worth 3k in my eyes.

Shill bidder(s)?

I looked at the bidders .. I recognize at least a couple of names, kornerpocket and 8ballstinger. I've done deals with them before and believe they are legit. They both bid pretty high on this one.

...

Nice cue, never used, but 3200 and going, seller must be loving it, wonder what the price under the black marker is

Good gawd, those green rings dun't look too pretty to me.
I've never seen a cocobolo SW.
Must be the reason why it's going up there.

I seen that earlier today and was surprised rediculous bid for lower end SW. There are some other SW on this forum that are lower in price and I think still for sale. I think someone will get scammed in this one.

wow, if that deal closes, this will mark a new era for southwest sales, cant believe how much its going for! The market must have a strong demand for SW cues right now, and some people really want one no matter the price!

I think we are all on the same page. Don't understand what all the fuss is about this specific one. I know of a couple of Franklin era cues that are going in the $2400 range. Unless their shop burned down or something else drastic happened, I can't imagine paying that much for one of their cues right now.

That being said, I have seen some people pay full retail for a Meucci, McDermott, or Joss, so nothing is out of the realm of possiblity.

For those of you that are knocking SW's. You are just upset because you can't step up and buy one. Don't knock something just because you don't have the bankroll for it.

I'd like to know that myself.

The Bids are up to $3,250.00 SEEMS HIGH to me.. But it is also the Laws of Supply & Demand @ work.

Even INDYQ is lower in price on SouthWest's... Also I think from time to time EricLee has New SouthWests...
