Coverage of mosconi matches in progress

Appleton is playing great. His safety play was the key. Shane has to hold the table here down 2-1. This pressure is insane.
 
Shane breaks wet and has to play safe, but plays it poorly, leaving a simple carom of the two ball for Darren, but Darren can't manage the shape and must play safe on the two. does it poorly, and Shane makes him pay the price. We're tied at 2-2.
 
If this is any indication of how this year is gonna play out I may have to skip out on work!! :p

Looked like it hit the eight first, even on the replay to me, but doesn't matter any more anyways...Might've been why he screwed up the safety

Does anyone know how or why Shane knocked off the finish on the forearm of his cue, just below the joint? The bare spot grows a little every time I see it...
 
Darren breaks wet but must push. Shane correctly gives it back, but Darren makes a near miraculous two ball to set up a run out, completed for a 3-2 lead.

Yes it was although he was a bit lucky the way the three and cb ended up though...

and I was surprised the four dropped, but it was shot at pocket speed.

yeah i thought it was a bad hit also. Crowd is rowdy and it's only the first day
 
Another defensive error by Appleton is costly, and we're tied at 3-3.

What do you guys think about the crowd? I am torn. I think they are yelling and whistling too long into the shot, but for both teams. They also seem to cheer and celebrate good shots by both teams as well though.

After typing this out I have decided that I like the fact that a crowd this large is this excited about pool.
