Haha... That brings up a funny and interesting story that has some relevance to a big tournament going on now. Back in early 2006 I was still in the Air Force and stationed in Mountain Home, Idaho which is pretty much in the middle of no where. It's about 45 minutes from Boise which I went to often to play in tournaments. A lot of guys there told me about this tournament in Reno called the US Bar Table Championship where all the best bar table players from all over went too.
Well I just had to go. I had a girlfriend at the time who was living with me and we both decided we'd go. Just so happened that a big Chemical Warfare Exercise landed on the same week that the tournament started. I wouldn't be able to attend the 9-ball portion of the tournament but I decided I'd still try to make the 8-ball tournament. During the exercise I worked 12-15 hour shifts for the 4 days leading up to the exercise and on the final day I got home at 9pm and me and my girlfriend left as soon as I took shower.
So the next morning was when the tournament started, so of course I had to sleep for the majority of the drive to Reno.

The weather was absolutely horrible and there were blizzard conditions the majority of the way. But thank the lord... we finally made it in the morning with time to spare.
I end up winning my first two matches pretty easily. And I am looking at my bracket and realize that if I win my next match I would be playing Jose Parica! I was very excited about the thought of playing against a world class player as Jose. My next match was not easy at all. I got down 4-2 going to 5 in an alternate break format. And I end up coming but and playing great to win the match. So I am estatic about the come back win and the chance to play against Jose.
You might be starting to wonder why I am telling this long drawn out story but I am finally getting to the topic at hand. I end up having some time before my next match, so my girlfriend and I go up to the room to relax a little before my match. My girlfriend was very happy that I won and happy at the fact that I was happy. So of course she ended up doing what
any good woman would do in that situation and needless to say I was having a great day.
I end up losing 5-3 to Jose in a very close match. And I then play Joonas Ohtonen and played absolutely horrible and lost 5-1. So in my case it didn't turn out very well. I lost my focus in some very key situations and dogged it. I can't say for sure if it was just because I choked, or because she choked hours earlier.
