It seems that the golf course had some silly rule about killing them and eating them....

1) you should read all threads as you never know what's gonna happen in any of them (i can't believe I just found this!)
2) any thread, at any time, can become about kevin varney
3) any thread that becomes about kevin varney will be at least 15 pages minimum
4) any thread about kevin varney always gets jimbo banned somehow
btw, who is "kristi" carter? and why hasn't she responded again?

Why? Do I know you?

IMO, banning JimBo for failing to comply is unwarranted and inappropriate. His posts in question do not seem to be over the line. Who knows what he did or said in private...that's between Dave and him. It's unfortunate, though, but the forums here at AzB seem to be losing some of their luster. Censorship is always a lose/lose....any way you cut it.
Hal said:Please do not ruin eggnog by putting Boone's Farm in it. The most popular additive is Captain Morgan's spiced rum. However, I'm not a fan of the flavored or spiced liquors.
I've just recently acquired a taste for bourbon and sipping whiskey. The best I've had so far has been Jack Daniels Single Barrel. Another excellent choice is Knob Creek.
In all honesty, I know I give the impression of a heavy drinker but I assure you it's just the opposite. I probably drink about a half pint a month.

JimBo said:No flash, you need light and lots of it, take it outside if you can on an overcast day, don't worry about getting that close, just make sure you have good focus and then crop the pic in a photo shop program. a tripod and timer or remote helps as well.

It may not help the current shot, but in the long run...

JimBo said:If it is how you set it up it looks like a tough safe to exicute, seems like there is a chance for a scratch in the side, or a screw up and sell out, but unless the 11 was an easier shot the run wasn't a lock either. I might have moved the 11 and left him on the bottom rail, there is no cross side bank there, and cutting it up the rail is not an easy option. He'd have no safe with the ball hanging in the side.

JimBo said:As a cuemaker what's your opinion.
If you use a recut to give the appearance of a veneer is it another point.
If the recut is much smaller and lower in the point does it matter??
Jim <---Just wonderin
JimBo said:These are recut points, some guys do them closer to the first point as a way to get a veneered look, some like SW are much smaller and they do call them 9 points, but to me that's a 6 point cue with 3 recuts. It really gets more confusing if you look at a Mike Bender 4,000 point cue (that's a joke you may not get). I guess it's just semantics, I also knew what you meant, just disagree with the terminology. BTW stop beating around the bush and let us know what cuemaker you are going to use for your SW knockoff.

JimBo said:Guys in all seriousness I'd like to say that Tim and Mike are a Class act.
Mike has been working with Tim for a very long time and is a great cuemaker in his own rite. I would not for 1 second think twice about placing an order with him if you're in the market for a new cue, the work is flawless. As for Nick, well he's shown his true worth here over and over and although I'm sure he's a nice guy he's just not that bright. I would ask that everyone who has read this far not think of Mike C or Tim when they read the ramblings of this "happy idiot" (his own words). Sure Nick probably has a few issues with the truth (who doesn't??) but there is one thing I am sure of. He isn't lying about how nice this cue is.
I fully endorse Mike Cochran and his cues, so if you like Nick then take his word for it and if you have 1/2 a brain take my word for it. The guy is for real. ALso after speaking with Mike today I can tell you that he sides with me and feels even if you can't run 13 straight racks you'll be able to tell if you like the hit of his cues.

JimBo said:In my old collection the Meucci Tomahawk was prolly built some time around 1986-88. The new collection (Blacks) are all dated 1993,1990,1990 I think. The first cue (purpleheart) is a one of kind Ivory joint. The second and third are takes on his catalog cues from that era, not being a Black expert I will guess Pheonix and a modified New Shanon. Again not an expert on Blacks.
