I'm sure this has been beat to death but I'm gonna post it anyway. I'm looking to have a plain Jane or sneaky player made. It'd be nice to find a cue maker not too far from central California so that I could travel to there shop in person. Or if someone can find me a Scruggs sneaky I'd like one also.

Thanks guys!

Unknown cue maker
Richard Smith.

I have missed a half dozen cue makers at least.

- Eddie Cohen is in LA and makes a very pretty and affordable cue.

- Ed Prewitt, also in LA and makes a very pretty and not as affordable cue

- I think the Tad shop is still making cues also in LA

- Kenny Koo, East Bay Area

Al Romero makes Sneaky Petes and is upstairs in Hard times Billiards in Bellflower, CA

Ned Morris, of Ned Morris Custom Cues is the guru around the Inland Empire/Palm springs area. He has quite a following and his cues resale well. He is actually located in Desert Hot Springs, which is just about 25 mins North of Palm springs, CA

Ned Morris is a terrific cue maker he has great insight into the game and can make a cue specifically tailored to a persons game.

He is also great at delivering a cue when he says he will deliver it

Few more

Kent Davis
Tim Padgett
Osarah
Carlos coll
Montalvo
Joey chin
John gardner
And few more😉

Many good names, Al has a big reputation for making sneakies although I've never played with one, but he has a cult following.

I own a Ned Morris, it is probably the best feel of a hit of a cue I've ever played with, bar none. Even with several different shafts. The only shaft on it I did not like was a Predator, I've hit with the standard Ned Morris shaft, Players HXT, several OB shafts, all had a great hit.

I've had several offers to sell or trade it, for cues that I liked, but just can't part with it.

Ive played with a couple of Als sneakys.... they have a good reputation for a reason. ;)

L'il Al Romero is the man for sneakies out west.

You said a TS sneaky would also be good - those come up fairly often but they will cost a couple hundred more than an Al Romero.

Either way, you should be pleased.

best,
brian kc

I'm thinking I'm gonna get in touch with al Romero, depending on the wait time I also saw some pierce and Scruggs sneakys I really like

Carlos Coll

Carlos Coll makes great playing cues and some of the most beautiful cues. I have one and will not let it go.

Tad has been out of LA for a long time.
He was in the OC area. Not too far from Disneyland .
Fred Kohara is in charge now.
