Brand new this cue was in the 1800 range... in todays market.. who knows..

His channel cut points, were as clean and sharp as any veneer, and he was really good at them. He has some that didn't make cue, yet, with ivory points, that are ridiculous.

Damn nice points.

Classic design.

Certainly I think worth half of new.

But as you say, hard to predict.

The issue is when you're not active, people forget about you. Also when you're work is not being showcased. To say this cue is 600, well there are a lot of cues being made that are no where near this cue in terms of quality. If you can get this for 600 you should not even be thinking about 1/2 the recent cues being offered at 12-14 hundred new. IMHO..

No one has made less cues than Skip in the last 15 years.. because he hasn't made 10.

It would be hard to believe that a custom cue, with a very classic design and inlays wouldnt be worth at least half again as much as a Predator shaft these days :thud:

If you could ever figure out some way to get that cue to me without risk to either of us,
which isn't possible nowadays, I'd give you at least a grand....You should just hang onto it.

I love the classic false purchase above:

I'd buy this cue but you can't get it to me so I won't

This cue is a stunner and worth every penny of $1000+

I'm very interested

It is a real offer........I just won't underwrite the cue confiscation if it happened.
Maybe meeting in Las Vegas would work.....same offer to meet applies to any
big pin /flat faced ivory joint Hercek cues (BEM & Ebony) weighing mid-18 ozs.
The only delay for doing this right now is a pending surgery #5 for my rt. shoulder.
The smart move is to hang onto this cue which is what others have also suggested.

It was a really nice cue Ted. The guy I sold it to was thrilled with it. It was around that time that I quit buying and selling pool cues....to much buying high and selling low. Best.

If you buy high and sell low the only way to make money is through high volume.

HUH??? You buy high and sell low you're goin broke. High-volume combined with slight/moderate profit will make $$ but you have to maintain the volume.
