To all the AZ'rs who follow this tread, I want to apologize for the previous rant. I don't want anyone to think I can't take suggestions or criticism or feel uncomfortable to ask questions. Some of you have offered suggestions even constructive criticism, which I have appreciated and I have read with an open mind. For instance: DoubleD helped me realize ceiling speakers might be a mistake, which I changed. I also got an idea for using stone veneers, a reminder and suggestion to install a security system, underskirting, lighting, I even got great info on computer jukeboxes, I'm even considering 9' tables! Even though I have two great oversize eights because I've been listening to a lot of you guys!
But what frustrates me is when someone comes across insinuating I don't know what I'm doing and says, I "SHOULD" have done something when it's a dumb idea. Fine, suggest it, but please don't post it in a manner that makes me look mas if I made a mistake with my own project.
Again I apologize and I hope I didn't come across as arrogant or over critical.
Hope ya'll keep following my project and keep your comments coming......
You have taken a lot of ideas and suggestions from others and from those you have made some changes to your original plan. That is awesome! Unless you have built many rooms like this in the past and learned from past mistakes, taking advice is very important. Ultimately it's your room and you have to be satisfied with your decisions. I don't know squat about building and therefore don't offer any advice. I prefer to see what others do, congratulate them on their success and hard work and from there take the ideas that I like and someday incorporate them into my own room. So far out of ALL the man caves that I've seen, I like this one the most and it's not even finished. I stand by my computer everyday just hoping for an update. It's like my drug of choice. I can't wait to see the finished product! I have a feeling that it will be amazing and most likely a design or idea that many of us will want to steal.
tryhonest07 did come off a bit like a know it all. I'm not sure if that was how they were intending to come off but hopefully they will come back on and clarify themselves. Or maybe they're not very good at expressing themselves and choosing the appropriate words.
Either way you soldier on Sir and know that I would carry nails and hammers for you any day...as long as we're building my poolroom! LOL!
There is one piece of advice that I will give you my friend and it has nothing to do with building. You have an incredibly supportive wife and I wish she would rub off on mine. You need to learn to dance for that pretty little wife of yours! Not sure what type of music she's into, but there's nothing sexier to a woman then a good Salsa, Merengue or any Spanish dancing!
Good luck my friend!
