Custom Pool Room

Music System

Now that I have a little more time I was able to give the music system some attention. I had a small folding table with a plastic table cloth I was using for the system. I was looking for a small corner TV stand on Craigslist but then decided to use some particle board my father had. This is fine considering it's only temporary untill I build the booth and install the Flat Screen above and figure another set up for it.

I stained it using Red Chestnut and it came out Ok. Not bad for it costing me nothing.

Lol, that is the best "temporary" entertainment stand I've seen in a while, looks better than one of my permanent ones.

I figured you were too busy using the room to provide us with updates, I am not sure what I will do with my spare time when you finally complete the project.

More great work. I wish I lived closer so I could come and see it in person. Thanks for sharing your great work

Looks great and was a good idea about the little drink tables, and if that is a temporary entertainment stand I can't wait to see the permanent stand you're going to build. One question though, did you ever get the side skirts put on the tables? Last update you had them almost ready to put on the tables, need photos please!

When will we see the schedule for the tour buses? I want to see some pictures or better yet, some video of you and your family enjoying this room! I have to live vicariously thru you in order to experience that amazing billiard room!

I don't have time to look thru the whole thread again, but what name did you go with? Backyard Billiards?

CutShot, thanks for the reminder, and yes I did. After another light sand I applied the last ploy coat. Here i layed out all of the pieces in the room and prepared to set them in place. In one of the photos you will notice I put them together on the floor. After going over my game plan on installing these, i figured this would be the best and posibly the only way to install them correctly. It allowed me to adjust the rails even and straight and considering the amount of screws it took and the need to use a drill to screw them in it made it really easy. If I remember I'll try to take better pics, just when I thought I had the Camera figured out, I go and take bad pics again.

Like you haven't done enough, apart from possibly having to change out that felt, what do you have left to do?

When you do re-felt the tables what are you going to go with?

what name did you go with??

Well so far I decided on Backyard Billiards. I designed a name design and need to paint it on the Bar mirror. I printed it 36' wide and placed it on the mirror to see how it will look and it looked nice. i also want to incorporate it into the table lights. I'm considering making new lights to minimize the ilumination of the room. Here's the layout.

Very classy design for the logo. I like the name as well. It speaks on many levels ;)

This is like the opposite of the classic line "it just keeps getting worse and worse. Doesn't it?"

Loves it! Keep up the great work brother

So how many times have you been home, "sick"?

Not as many as you would think. I've been scheduling pool nights on Sun nights when my wife takes the kids to the park. My schedule is still pretty full with other responsibilities that I only make it out there (maybe) twice a week. And when I do, it turns into a training session for the kids. Which I don't mind, I enjoy watching my daughter and her serious face.

Woo hoo! Glad my suggestion for the name may make it to the final!

Great room! Great workmanship!

Only thing left is years of enjoyment!

Congrats!

She has a good stance and looks like she keeps her head down. And yes, very serious face. Too cute...

Daniel

I think we have all been missing your weekly updates. Have you done anything new since your last post? What about the permanent entertainment center & the flat screen TV? or anything else that you have discovered that you needed now that you are actually being able to get some use out the room?

We all got addicted to this thread and now we are having withdrawal symptoms. LOL
