Custom Pool Room

HMMMM, you could put a suitcase full of money on top of those lights....just saying!

Seriously though, what you have accomplished is really inspiring. Great job!

As a fellow nit-picky, do-everything-yourself-er, I really enjoyed reading through ALL 53 pages of this. Great work and a great inspiration. It's turning out very nice, well-built, welcoming and sophisticated. Definitely a place i'd love to spend a lot of time at! Cheers to you.

Thanx for the pics, the TV & Sofa area looks like a cozy place to snuggle with your Honey. LOL Seriously, great job. It has really come together now!

I only mentioned the Dart Board because I saw it in the background of one the pics when you were making the new lights, I had one as a kid also, same problem as you, holes in the garage wall top to bottom.

I'm very glad to hear that your father is doing well. That is truly great news!

There's only one thing this room is missing...ME!! I'm first in line to pay the cover charge to get in!!

This room is amazing! The fact that we got to see it come together from start to finish makes it that much more amazing. Thank you for taking us along on this wonderful ride!

Happy New Year to you and your family!

Oh yeah, let me know when you and the family decide to move.

I also keep doing minor changes to the room. I found this Bar faucet I've been wanting for a while listed at $80 and finally found it on sale for $20.

My wife is awsome!

She wanted the 42" back in our family room, I said thats fine but what about the pool room? She says, "well you're just gonna have to buy another one."
Psss, she made it sound like that was a problem.

Tables

I've been wanting to recover the tables for a while and finally ordered the cloth and rails from Muellers. Of course I’ve never done this before, but Hey, how hard could it be? As it turns out, it's a pretty daunting task. Having to take the tables apart was a lot of work. Removing the old felt and all of the old staples was tedious work. Removing the old rails was a breeze but prepping the rail faces was time consuming. I’m definitely not looking forward to doing this again.

Cloth

I chose the Gorina/Granito Tournament 2000 cloth from Muellers. I like fast cloth an read great reviews.

It was so much work I forgot to take step by step pics of everything.

After cleaning all of the rail facings I glued the rubbers on using 3M contact cement.

here I started installing the cloth on the rails. I spoke to Glen on the phone and he gave me some pretty good tips.

Completed rails. I was pretty happy with my work, considering I' never recovered a table before.

Completed Tables

Here's the tables after being completed. My son helped me out quite a bit. Hes turning out to be a good helper.

Beautiful! If I had to quibble, you could hide the wires going up to your TV. (I wouldn't even point that out, except the rest of the room is so perfect.)

Words escape me if I were to try and describe the feeling that I get when looking at all the hard work you went thru to make that into a small mansion.

Obviously you did your own re cloth as well. You took on every aspect of the building including the tables as well. Simply amazing.

You are truly a craftsman. I mean, we all saw pics of the area with the base laid down and cindercrete blocks placed for the joists to the finished product.

It has been a long journey. Enjoy.
