DCC 9-Ball

Last round results:

Lee Van 7 Ralf 4 (his first loss)
Darren 7 Luat 5 (his first loss)
Archer 7 Shane 5 (his first loss)
Adam Smith 7 Morra 6 (he's out)

Eight players left (seven above plus Pinegar), all with one loss. It's now a perfect draw. Like a single elimination, eight man tournament.

It'd be interesting to see Corteza or Luat win.

Jay...who's runnin' the control desk this year??

Paul Smith and Bill Stock, with Bonnie Jones and Rick ? helping out. Ken Schuman is the TD, and Scott Smith the emcee. Oh, and I'm the gopher and rack boy. Finally something I'm qualified for. :D

They just called out Archer and Shane again. Haha. That's DCC for ya.

Really? I didn't see your post before I posted. That's funny--hopefully they'll both play better this time.

Is there any way we can get updates on the other matches from Jay and Mark during the Appleton-Corteza match?

Henny should have the all-around locked up. Congrats to him.

Jay, did either of us win any money on the Corr matches?

I just worked the Appleton-Corteza match on the TV table. I did commentary with Mark Wilson. A terrific match that had a little bit of everything. At 6-5 Corteza, Darren had to make four easy balls to go hill-hill, and he dogged the six badly. He sat in his chair for many minutes after that miss and contemplated what could have been. Van Van won 7-5.

Ralf knocked Luat out 7-2. Smith beat Pinegar 7-3 and Shane took out Johnny 7-5.

Final four are Shane vs. Ralf and Van Van vs. Smith. Adam Smith is the big surprise of this event. Brumbach won the Master Of The Table by a half a point! 20K for first and only 3K for second (Pinegar). A little birdy told me they may have had a 5K saver. It would have been the smart thing to do.
