I went to book a room for the DCC and online it says no rooms avalible, did i miss the boat and everyone already got there rooms? I could swear last year we didn't book our room till December and had no problem getting a room. Anyone have any info about this?

Better CALL Them and DO IT TODAY or as soon as possible.

I have gone for the past 5 years, and always find rooms up to about Dec1st as being dangerous. The month of Dec is almost impossible.

I called 3 days ago, and talked to reservations girl, and booked my room. I always ask, "How is the room availablity?"

Surprise !! She said, "Normally we have no problems, but this year our phones are ringing off the hook for this last week. Our hotel is almost full. Some advertisement must of come out or something. We do have a few rooms left across the street, and ours are running very close to a sell out."

Then she says but we do have one for you today, want to reserve it?
&^%$# Yeah, and right now!!!

Now, I suspect there are rooms left, and I suspect there are more than 5-10 available. But I caution the past visitors, that this year is moving along faster than normal. When enough people miss out from last year, they generally are the FIRST to reserve the next year.

FYI, I just bought the LAST TV VIP seat ticket at 6AM this morning. Tickets went on sale yesterday at 6PM EST. Now that was scary !!!

Normal there a good 50% left by one day later. Just more evidence this years DCC will be a HUGE SELLOUT---Better get your "you know what" in gear and call today.

My 2 cents worth

For some reason, it always says sold out on the site, then you call and they have plenty of rooms. I figure it's some problem with the site.

They need to hear that you are with the tournament. I suspect that all of the rooms are reserved for the tournament until a few weeks before.

Got One

Yeah thats what i ended up doing was calling and i had a choice of rooms so people i think were starting rumors.

That sounds logical, thanks Bob.

BTW I'm always amazed at the affordable rates. Old hotel, but pretty nice rooms for $80! Needs a better restaurant though.

I reserved my rooms over a month ago, and was told they had no DCC player rooms available at that time. I called them last week, and asked if they would change my reservation to a player rate and was told they could not change my rate. If anyone who reserved a room after the 1st of October got the player rate I am going to be VERY UPSET!!

Day Late,

I'd sure hate for you to be upset at the DCC. Much rather you having the time of you're life! You are dealing with a centeral office handling several hotels. The people there are not owners and could care less if you cancel or what rate you are paying. They are just doing a job...........You could try making a new reservation at the players $75 rate and then cancel you're old reservation....Anyway I can't allow you to have a bad time at the DCC so if you need my help call me at 812-989-6665 and I'll make sure you are not overcharged.....Greg/Diamond......I won't let you be "$short" anymore...

Thanks for your concern. After seeing your message, I called the reservation desk today and was told that there were rooms available at $75. When I asked why my reservation was for $105, they said it was for a courtside room; thus more money. I know I didn't ask for courtside, but that was what they set up. No biggie; they were willing to change me to a regular room. The last time I called and asked about the rate, I must have gotten someone who didn't understand what I wanted. Anyway, I'm in good shape now!

Like I said in an earlier post, I would go anyway, but $30 would be better spent on other expenses (beer)!

Can't wait!

I called Friday and got a room at the DCC rate for 4 nights. I got a single bed so I can have more room for my Corona.

I got a mini suit for $80 for the first 4 nights, but that was 2 months ago, I get the same room every year, called back to try and book it for a couple more nights, it was already gone. If you are going, I would book it now, don't think you have to leave a deposit or anything. Can always cancel if your plans change.

I had a suite last year, the referigerator is nice. But the room was WAY bigger than I needed. Just got a regular this year.

I just got a reservation for Jan 5 to 9.
I just tried to make a reservation (5th-14th) and the Executive West was sold out for those dates. They gave me the same rate ($75/night) at the Executive Inn, and I suppose the short walk in the fresh air will do me good.

Room reservation

I'm not going to be able to make it this year. :( But I have a room reserved I will be cancelling. Don't know if it is possible but if there's a way to give up my reservation to an AZ'er I'd prefer to do that.
