You see my point about our little brain thinking in my previous post? Exactly my point. We have been conditioned to think the metal screw is normal and everything else is abnormal. That is why I say, the majority will revert back regardless of how it hits and plays.
Now if someone with a serious physics education and background can help me design a break cue that uses the properties of the old Super Ball - Zectron rubber or the newer rubbers to create a tip, ferrule, and/or joint that propels the cue ball faster at the end of the stroke from the stored energy created in the compression, we will have a break cue that can increase cue ball speed beyond anything we have imagined. Now.... that would be somehing new!
