I don't think the mods would let me publish the complete text. But they sounded something like this: What the fxxx is that, you got to be s___ me, what the fxxx is that thing, along with other questions. Catch my drift, auction guy?
Glen

You see my point about our little brain thinking in my previous post? Exactly my point. We have been conditioned to think the metal screw is normal and everything else is abnormal. That is why I say, the majority will revert back regardless of how it hits and plays.

Now if someone with a serious physics education and background can help me design a break cue that uses the properties of the old Super Ball - Zectron rubber or the newer rubbers to create a tip, ferrule, and/or joint that propels the cue ball faster at the end of the stroke from the stored energy created in the compression, we will have a break cue that can increase cue ball speed beyond anything we have imagined. Now.... that would be somehing new!

I let a few others try the cue tonight. All three thought the cue hit great. One person who has been playing with the same Southwest since 1987, couldn't believe it hit like his cue.
So it hits like a SW?

Not my opinion, but a friend who has been playing with the same 60" ebony nosed SW since the 80's.
Thanks for your interest.

does that mean its a good hit or bad hit?????

It means you should wait for one or more of the extremely well-qualified members of this forum to get their hands on one and review it for us. If that never happens then continue on your quest to find the holy grail of cues.

And for those who say it doesn't matter what cue you play with I will play Efren even one pocket using my cue,if he uses the cue I choose for him.

Oh geeze, that's a no brainer, when you choose a cue for him, make sure it's off the shelf, and not modified(i.e. rubber shaft, 4oz. weight added to end of shaft, etc.), then play him even.

Selling These Way Too Cheap

Its hits like a SW and some would prefer it over a Dennis Searing....holy crap Batman:eek:  !!

$300 seems a little too cheap for a cue like that.

Perhaps Mr. Trudeau should pick up a bunch of these to raffle off at future IPT events.

I think the cue will hit even better with one of my Super Molavia Tip. What tip is used on this cue?

All I can say is that sometime you find a formula that work but it may not alway work for everyone. One person dream cue...is another trash....same goes for everything in life I guess. From the look of the pics...the cue does look solid...very old style butt. I was told when the butt is thicker..it will absorb vibration thus making the hit more solid.

Regards,
Duc.

Perhaps there are some who are put off by my "P T Barnum" sales approach.Fair enough let them say so,but to accuse me of dishonesty is not fair unless they can produce actual statements that are deceptive. Its not enough to prove I may be wrong.

...and we all know what P. T. Barnum sez....."there's a sucker born every minute".....lol

I guess I am one of those suckers. I not only own the Deano "sneaky pete" but also have in my possession a Deano "high end" cue that hits fantastic. It is ebony on ebony with over 50 ivory inlays. His cues are worth checking out. I know I'm no expert or respected like golf parent but Dean's cues should be played with before all the negative feedback.
Glen
ps. I am no shill for Dean, just a pool player

good post nasc , i dunno i think it comes down too the fact alot of cuemakers at az heck i had no idea how many were here , but i attribute that to the negatives of deans cue , i guess it comes down to not wanting competition and generally bad mouthing unknown cues , but i think in time they will speak for themselves with the quality .

I asked Mr Wilson about the cuemakers cliche and bashing and he said he tries to control it but it still happens . as you know from reading the forums some have even stepped so low as too say im dean lol. and all i did was take up for him when he got bashed without reason. since im Mr Dean nasc can you return that inlaid higher -end cue to me in nc . ;) ;)

Deano Cue

I enjoy the photos and reviews of these cues. I especially like the uneven points that give the cue a hand made artistic look.

The wood pin on the shaft of a cue has been around for years and years. I will be surprised if suddenly every high end pool cue maker has never heard of this.

I would not be surprised if I could shoot well with your cues. I have also shot pool with a broom before.

As far as my $300 bucks and not jumping in line, do not feel insulted that I did not buy a cue. It is my money and not yours. I also missed the chance to jump on some airplane schemes that were very popular years ago. If you were able to sell all the limited number of cues with the sales techniques you used - that is your business and more power to you.

What would disappoint me would be if even one of the buyers on this forum did not like the cue they received. Time will tell.

Here are pics of Dean's cue. Believe me, it is real and hits pretty sporty. I have forgone my Black Boar, Scruggs, Mike Webb, Black Creek and James White to play with this cue exclusively. Looks may be deceiving but this cue plays well for me. People that I have let try this cue compliment me on the hit.
