Definition of Professional Pool Player

What you recognize as mean-spiritedness others have been PMing me and giving rep for being spot on. Just a difference of opinion that you feel the need to lower to a bar argument everytime.

Save the forum drama, Watchez. I have been getting PMs and green rep, too.

You have insulted Keith McCready for years and years, all because you don't like me. This is nothing new. You are a trouble-maker from a long time ago.

Go weave a basket.

I said it should be based on one's playing ability and past-performance (not necessarily current-money-won).

I don't buy the "pro caliber" vs. "professional" player comment. So, Mike Sigel walks into ANY pro tournament and they're gonna tell him... "Sorry Mike, you can't play because you're not a pro. You play like one, but you're not." LMFAO...yeah, ok. If Mike is reading this thread, he's probably pulling glass out of his knuckles from sending his fist through his monitor.

By the way, I mean no personal disrespect, but anyone who calls a 8 or 9 time WORLD champion who can still destroy 99% of the pool playing world on his worst day a non-pro is absolutely confused. If you just started playing pool yesterday, I'd understand - but you didn't, so I'm scratching my head.
I never said non pro - Former Pro. And I agree if Mike Sigel, CJ Wiley, Reed Pierce all put their mind to it - would be a force on the Pro tournaments of the year - but they aren't so they are Former Pros.

Barry Sanders retired from football at the top of his game. The day he retired, he was a Former Pro. Michael Vick is a Former Pro as well. I could give 100s of examples that are not pool related.

Who cares what you think? You have already stated that you can't even draw your rock and don't know how. You have admitted this.

Go hit some balls and stay off the forum.

Ya see, that's where you're wrong. Mike, CJ, and Reed can show up tomorrow and cash often. They don't play cause there's no money in it. If you don't think they can play today, "better axe somebody."

Either way, no matter what their current playing speed - they are Former Pros, because, as you stated, they don't play.

So no one should listen to anyone that cannot draw their ball - that is the yardstick?

Interesting.

I think if you do anything good enough to make a living at it, then you are a professional in that field... be it, pool, golf, sales, teacher, etc. JMO.

You would have to quote me when I misspelled genius. I had hoped I corrected that quickly enough, obviously not. :D

That cue in yore Avatar looks like a 'Bluegrass' by Richard Harris. Is It?

I am a pro in my field. A pro doesnt need to be defined as one. He knows he is. All he has to have is his union card( I belong to 3) or id and his tools. He doesnt need anyone to define it for him. He doesnt need public recognition because its enough he recognizes it in himself. The definition of a pro is left to the non pros.

What duh....

I'm with you on this BigskyJake. I just can't imagine how I'm ever going to "un-read" them words! Well, not really "with" you, but...oh never mind.

And Roy! Was that a "Freudian slip" or did I read too far in this? (Not that anything went "in", hopefully).

What's really shocking is that I like these guys so much.....Well, not "like" like I like the Mrs, but like as in pals. And uh....never mind.

I'm no "genious', but I got a real strong feeling that JohnnyT would NEVER approve of this kind of hanky-panky either. Under ANY circumstances, for ANY amount of loot and not even at gunpoint! If I was a bettin' man (;) ) I would guess that bullets or at least axe handles will be flying in HIS response to this modern day "Poolguys Gone Wild."

PS....YUCK!

PSS...Eric, when we meet at Grady's, let's just shake hands.
Deal or no deal???
:D :D
