Where in the world or where on his body? Either way, I'm now a professional dude-kisser......right?

E-E,
It took me about a whole minute to try & catch my breath. I couldn't see thru the water in my eyes to even SEE the keyboard!

One of the funniest & most clever lines ever uttered on this hallowed forum.
So matter of fact, so deadpoked, uh, I mean so deadpan about the whole "affair"....:D

You guys are nuts. or the nuts. Which ever way you want to look at it. Me? I don't want to look. Funny as hell tho. Johnnyt

ATTENTION-Easy-E!

I hope you see this before it's too late...

Your next post will be #1300! It will be hard to top 1299....but I got faith in you!

So no one should listen to anyone that cannot draw their ball - that is the yardstick?

Interesting.

lol, if that was the case then 95% of this forum can't have an opinion on anything. Do I get an opinion since I have owned a pool room and put on tournaments? Do I get an opinion since I've been on the road with Shannon Daulton and gambled for thousands? Do I get an opinion since I've bought every PPV offered by TAR and supported a ton of pro tournaments? Do I get an opinion for knowing most of the people in pool? Or do I not get an opinion because I can't play as good as somebody like SVB?

I would venture to say that everyone on this forum is involved with pool in some aspect, hence AZ BILLIARDS. That being said, anyone's opinion on here should be respected as much as the next person regardless of whether they can run racks. In fact, I would venture to say that most of the topics covered on here are geared toward the fan base more than the players, so the people that actually get off their asses or open their pocket books to support pool should carry more weight than Joe Pro who complains about tourney payouts and then does nothing to better his/her life. IMO

Wow, thanks Terry. Put a little pressure on me and I won't let you down!

That's what he said........................:D

Let me clear something up, I am not a homo (not that there is anything wrong with that). I am a "professional dream- fulfiller".

Sorry if the post let you down Terry.............:D

No, on the contrary, that was good. Like Ivory soap, 99 44/100 pure....
And I'm not supposed to be "up" when were discussing such hush-hush matters.:D
Also, never a doubt about ------------------------------or not.

Well done E-E!

I didnt post that reply to upset the original poster of this thread, i just wanted to get my point accross about the other guy that i was talking about!

Sorry if i offended anyone else!

You have to admit it was kinda funny

Of course, they are. If you look at the timing of this thread and a post I made in the Fatboy missing money thread, you will realize Watchez is once again trying to antagonize me by ridiculing my boyfriend because I dared to call him an "American professional player."

I am so sick of these damn forum games. Watchez, you and I have a previous history, and after all the nasty things you have said about Keith, I hope we never meet you in person. I really mean that. You make me sick.

JAM

Hey Watchez, or what ever your name is....I have a question for ya, cuz.....

Do you play pro pool or just play, or are you just a stakehorse that rides the tails of action players??

I heard a lil something bout you up here in New York, just wondering do you play........And why you have such a bad taste in your mouth about Keith....

My humble opinion:

I think pro has LITTLE to do with current money won, and has everything to do with past-performance (tournaments / money) and playing ability. Semi-pro makes no sense. It's like being semi-pregnant. You can either compete at the highest level over a long period of time or you don't.

Whoever doesn't think these guys are all-out professionals need to log-off the internet and send someone in against them for the cash and find out first-hand. These guys are NOT "former pros" when they can rape many of the middle-range guys (and many top 10 players) I read about in magazines every so often. Don't get me wrong, they're not beating everyone at any level at any game every time---- but they're gonna win MORE than their fair share at nearly any game. If there are round things on flat surfaces with holes nearby, and they have a few days to loosen up, you better be wearing boxers or your nuts will shrivel up backing the wrong end of any match against the below players.

- Mike Sigel
- George Breedlove
- Nick Varner
- Allen Hopkins
- Buddy Hall
- Earl Strickland
- George San Souci
- Keither with the Ether (that's for you JAM)

They may not be in magazines this month, or on the top 10 money list ---- but they are PROS.

That was GREAT Spider.......I grew up w/ Ginkster, he was and still is a "PRO", even though he has not played as much, like Keith said.......They are a threat to knock anyone out at any time....Thats a PRO, BABY.....LOL LOL

Yeah i would definatly consider GINKY a pro! In my opinion he has not been the same since his surgery. but i'm sure if he could put in some practice time he would be right back at the top of his game!

First, I have posted my name many times.

Second, I do play but have trouble drawing my ball. I hope it is ok that I post here do to my limited playing ability. It is easier to just ride the coat tails of action players. But I am not a stakehorse. Most stakehorses go busted trying to out run the loses.

And I have lots of relatives in NY, there is a chance we might be cousins. Are you from Howard Beach since I saw your post about Ginkster?

Can you name anyone else fits this description of someone that does not play but rides the coat tail of a player? I would like to find more friends just like myself.

Yes, I was up back in NY - I believe I posted that as well - so that is probably where you heard it. I was there 3 weeks ago at the Ritz in Central Park. You should have come by for a drink. Sorry, I didn't see a pool table the entire time I was there.

I was thinking about all your accloades and considered each and everyone you mentioned very carefully and came up with my decision on if your allowed to have an opinion...... and no you cant. See I'm the Sheriff and you gotta do something with me to be a real player. Then and only then will your opinion matter  :D  ;) :p Until then your just in training. Man am I full of shit.

just kidding buddy, you know that, no disrespect, I just had a long day and needed to bust some balls before i go to bed, i'm tired of working 15 hour days. Soon enough I wont be....for all the wrong reasons. Again I was just kidding. REP comming soon as this damn thing will let me hook you up.

Until there is one unified body in professional pool you could literally discuss this topic until the end of time, because there is a definition of what is a pro, but there is no cut off point at the bottom. In baseball if you get drafted A ball through the MLB is "pro" ball. They use wooden bats, they sit down in the dugout, etc... But nobody is staying away from the draft to go hustle batting cages.

In pool you have guys for purposes of monitary reasons that do not go into recognizable status. There are some players who can't, because of a job that they make more at than they would on a professional circuit.

Spiderwebb has made the most sense on this topic by a large margin. And the reason its so hard to pin down or convince people, even with logic, like spider has tried to do, is because everybody gets to use their own little defintion. Thats just chaos.

Unfortunately you can't say to some people, oh you dont think George Breedlove is a pro? Go watch him play sometime. Because these people would just say....well by my defintion, no I don't think he is a pro, I don't care if he runs 8 racks of 10 ball in a row before my eyes.

So the bottom line is you need a cut off point at the bottom, and enough money to bring the best out. Without enough money its pointless anyway. And about the former or current status, if you can still play in a pro tour, and plan to, you are not a former pro.

I think there are different levels of professionals as far as definitions go. Freshman professionals are short stop or slightly better players that market themselves and actually have a sponsor that provides some service or goods.

Senior professionals have several sponsors and play world class speed.

I'm in the process of marketing myself... need to make a sponsorship video so I can convince some product maker I'm worth sponsoring :p
