Dennis vs. SVB Full Story- Truth From the Inside

There are so many hilarious and negative things that could be (accurately) said about French but the one that speaks loudest is that the guy is such a mental defect that he actually thought that publicly showing the contract would make Dennis O look bad and make himself look like a victim.

In an entire lifetime, one comes across people this dumb on only a few occasions.

Exactly
They were proudly parading the contract in social media like they had won
Only thing high about French is his profile
Everything else about him is low
Low IQ
Lo Falutin
Low Ball
Low Class
LowLife

If he had committed same shenanigans in major sports , he would have been hung out to dry now as target practice .
Yet some folks were heralding him as the new Messiah of pool . Who turned out to be wolf in sheep's clothing with intention to defraud, receive, cheat and rip off players like Dennis.
Thankfully , majority of Azbers saw thru his bag of tricks
Rumors has it that France, frenching and french toast dropped to new low because of him

Thanks. Where are the Dennis Orcollo's bashers ?

I started 4 of the threads about John French, Ko/Dennis, and two others. I don't really care for some of the actions Dennis has pulled over the years, but myself and a big % of the others in those threads don't like to see anyone get raped on a contract he doesn't understand because it's in English and he doesn't read English well. Most on here just don't want to see anyone taken advantage of.

There must have been at least 5 people that knew 100k was BS and a fraud to get more PPV viewers, yet now they say they only did this or that. This kind of crap has been going on you too long. The names of the ones doing it need to be made public. Johnnyt

what the OP wrote as opening post seems very believable and plausible! I have followed the "French-Gate" closely and watched the Denis/Ko match. As soon as this coked-up carneval barker entered the booth all went south...

It is a shame! How stupid you gotta b to advertise 50k and 100k matches, knowing that the money will never be posted, just to lure in PPV customers!!?? Did they really think this would never come to light? Once it's out you're busted coz bad news spread faster than the flu.

Personally, I am very disappointed by this whole "French-Gate". I was so looking forward to the svb/denis match. And I belong to the hardcore group that would watch the entirety of the match even if they played for nothing!

French, should u read this, go to hell and stay there! (those surely are the harshest words I have written on AZ since ever...)

Another scar on pool's reputation

Really disgusting that pool continues to get a bad rep. Makes you really appreciate Greg Sullivan & Mark Griffin who have run events for years without all this crap !!

Here's a quick lesson for everyone. Never sign a contract with anyone whose grammar and spelling is this sh!tty. Especially when it's their first language.

"This 100 percent untrue he stayed months with me when we went to tournaments and won he sent all the money home to his wife I payed for everything I never had him sign nothing at all the lawyer put the contract together it was made by them not me Dennis owes me a lot of money and he knows that's a fact he was so happy here that he had his entire family moving to my town I never made the contract it was done by a lawyer"[/QUOTE]

Reality is dennis is a great player but made some very questionable moves over the years that have gave people a bad image of him
French just s solid clown on all accounts

Think they all deserve each other thieving bastards
I would encourage know support or recognition to any involved

Many places have banned cigarette companies and alcohol companies from sponsoring sporting events (although they may be able to advertise the hell out of their products during the broadcast).

Cue sports may not be exempt from this. For example, my recollection is that the snooker tour took a hit when the tobacco companies had to stop sponsoring the events.

Gideon

Snooker was in a bad way when the tobacco companies were banned from sponsorship.

Pro circuit tournaments are now sponsored by government tourism, bookmakers, and a string of dental clinics (owner is a snooker fan).

So ...
Unless it can entice angels like Kevin Trudeau with lots of money, U.S. pool won't get funding.
Major sponsors want to deal with reputable organizations that can police participants, but the players don't want to join an organization.

Back in the dark days of snooker, Alex Higgins won the World Championship.
Entry fee 100 pounds, winner's prize 480 pounds.
The real money came from doing exhibitions.
Now money also comes from player sponsorship, appearance fees, etc.
The winner of the World Championship gets saddled with many demands on his time. So much so that no first time winner has repeated the following year.

Recently, Ronnie O'Sullivan ruminated about going on the exhibition trail with Judd Trump to serve up more entertaining matches.

Pay per view could be the new alternative to traveling exhibitions.
Do you want entertainment, or do you want to bet on the outcome?

It seems to me that, if players are betting between themselves, they could have a good rivalry that over time would result in no actual change in financial position. The profit would come from PPV, which would probably be split evenly.

So...
Are the bets relevant to anything?

Instead of frothing at the mouth about the antics of individuals, U.S. players and fans should be concerned with developing an organization that can establish rules and enforce them.

I get the impression that French was not so much a thief but a guy with money who wanted to maybe buy some friendships and a little fame.

Then hustlers from everywhere came in to get some and Dennis happened to be the closest.

Some of the players might not have been looking to fleece him and wanted to play hard for a good stakehorse, which would have been a great deal, but it sounds as though a lot of people wanted to get whatever they could out of him.

Kinda like when anybody with money shows up....bonus ball, Dippy Dave.....just the way it always will be.

I didn't listen to French's broadcast yet.

Does anybody believe for a minute that Orcullo didn't screw French out of money? The minute Orcullo owed him prize money he probably couldn't speak a lick of english!

Maybe it is talk-to text?

Does that change anything?

What a bunch of crap that quote was. I can see now why Dennis might have gotten so mad. If French implied that he could bring his family here then that was a real con job. There is NO WAY he could do that! Period! The only way Dennis could ever get his family over here from the Philippines would be for him to first become a U.S. citizen and that can take ten years!

For French to even imply that he could do this for Dennis is preposterous and an outright lie.

wow i am super late but would like to know if possible.
How long was dennis signed to french? It was said that he had no idea that the contract was for more than just dvd's, so that means that he had not done anything before the Ko match with frenchy?
Dennis said that he has a backer back home for 15yrs so why get into any kind of arrangement with another person to the point where there's a contract involved.

maybe somewhere in the 12 pages my questions was answered but for me it feels like two skeemers butt heads and their relationships ran into a reef.

oh and who was setting this thing up where one person can forward fees to a personal account? 4 - 5 parties involved and one guy has the pin and password for the ATM card, what is going on?

Orcullo is saying French put him in events and didn't expect a cut of the winnings. That happens all the time. What a joke.

I lived in the Philippines for three years.

The FIRST day I arrived, I had several Filipino guys come up to me and say, "Hey Joe, remember me? I'm the taxi driver from the other day. Let me take you to...blah, blah, blah, blah...and you can get a good deal...blah, blah, blah, blah".

What a bunch of scammers.

Why do I think of Dennis as a "Hey Joe" guy after reading this thread?

Lol
It takes 5 years for a permanent resident to become a US citizen.
Getting the green card will take years as you alluded to.
French painted blue skies.

What is a "French Gate"...?
Some unusual love making system maybe??
Thanking you in advance.
