After years of avoiding and dodging the authorities, among "others", KT remains one giant step ahead of any serious trouble. A bunch of unorganized pool players, many of which still sing his praises, probably do not even present a challenge to him. He is damn good!

This letter is to give you some updates on the IPT and final prize money payment details.

About time!

First, all players in the IPT World Open Championship will receive continuing payments of their prize money on or about September 15th, October 15th, November 15th, and December 15th, 2007. You will be paid in full by the last payment on December 15th.

Let's hope so!

It continues to be our goal to continue the IPT and produce events for players who are paid substantial prize money and who can earn a great living doing what you all love to do…shoot pool!

What like the season's 2006 & 2007?

The IPT business model is being modified in a substantial way. We do intend (although there are no guarantees) to sponsor tournaments starting in 2008.



The Future of the IPT-

We are close to having a fully revised business model for the IPT. We will be giving you more details in the coming months.

It takes you almost 1 year to revise a business model.

The IPT office has been instructed to send out an email every two weeks with updates and answers to questions that are commonly being asked. This will start in September and hopefully will help to keep you up to date on the IPT as we prepare to re-launch the tour.

This'll be a 1st then!

One-on-One live matches broadcast on the IPT website. By the end of this year, the IPT will start having live one-on-one matches broadcast on the IPT website.

These will be heads-up matches with long races consisting of great players and match-ups, with a couple of twists of course.

What twists.....they get paid on time as promised?

We intend on investing substantial resources in advertising these matches through various media outlets such as television, newspapers, magazines, radio, and the Internet.

Yeah don't forget to use that large International agency you signed a deal with in 2005, eh?

Future Tournaments - the IPT does intend on having large tournaments in the future. It is our intention to have an IPT 2008 World Open 8-Ball Championship! We intend on having all the prize money held in escrow by a well respected accounting firm available for verification by all players.

Is this the same accounting firm who had all the 2006 & 2007 money held for tournaments?

Intention is a very clever word used here and contradict's what was said above about proposed tour plan for 2008. So they intend to have one event in 2008!

I want to personally thank the vast majority of players for their overwhelming support and encouragement.

Well what did you expect.....if they want their payments they're not going to say anything else!

There are no guarantees for the future and where the IPT will go, only time will tell.

What is guaranteed is that there are dedicated people at the IPT whose persistence, determination, and vision for its success is unwavering.

The WPA's recent announcement of their impending World Tour, although far from being a very clear cut and informative document itself, may have featured in the timing of this "announcement" by those who are still scratching out a living deep from within the bowels of the Natural Cures nuclear bunker.

The announcement smacks of being wholly originated and authored by a forgotten and discredited Trudeau 'gopher' firing off poorly worded and contradictory promises in the vague hope that the Master of The Ship will soon return from a long trip bearing fresh stocks of jewellery, exotic spices, rich silks, shiny doubloons and other treasures plundered and pirated from elsewhere. It smacks of being inspired by little more than a vague and pleading hope on the 'gophers' part that The Master can be convinced to use some of those plundered riches to rekindle life in his own abandoned and mothballed ship.

The 'gopher' appears to rate the intelligence of the potential future crew members for any new voyage as highly as The Master did in the past.

Could one of you lawyers or business people clear something up for me? Isn't money held in escrow by a lawyer's office and not an accounting firm.

I used to work for a multi-national accounting firm and I don't remember our office having any escrow accounts. Maybe it is different in different countries?

Although people associate escrow accounts with lawyers, accounting, and real estate firms, anyone can open an escrow simply by going to a bank and filling out the appropriate documents.

It's one thing to rob someone that you know, but when you do it to many you don't know, life becomes too unpredictable to be/to feel safe. I predict he'll get some of whats coming to him before he goes to jail. JMHO

Although I flamed a little on this thread, I want to say thank you for posting this info. I am interested in how this whole thing plays out.

I have no membership or association with the IPT, so threads like this are the only way I can find out whats going on.

I hope to see more of this type of information in the future, when it is announced.
