Derby City Classic "Arm Wrestling" Video... Epic woofing

So here I was at the Derby and I had just finished watching Shane Vs Alex part 2... I collected my sidebet I placed on Shane and paid off DerekDisco who trapped me in some bad side action ;P... and I start to hear some big woofing going on. So of course... I go get in the middle of it.

Come to find out there's this inebriated guy barking at Strong Arm John about arm wrestling for some big bucks. I'm slightly inebriated myself because Sarah Rousey kept dogging on me for drinking slow... It's not good for your ego to have a 4ft tall woman that could kick your ass playing pool telling you that! :D So of course I started drinking faster trying to keep up with her.

So I pulled out my camera and took a video of this epic woofing match. I had some problems with running out of memory on my camera.. which is why it's in so many different parts.

If you don't have any brain cells to spare... you may want to give a second thought about watching this. And please... no one tell John about my comment at the end of the video. :D Of course I didn't mean what I had said! :o

I watched part 1, part 2 and part 5 and I still have no idea what the hell happened...
 
I watched the whole thing...fun! Lots of celebrity sightings too;)

I haven't watched but the first video but if John beat Brent arm wrestling he has done something. He ain't the favorite here.

KTown who is this guy Brent? I had never seen him before. Where is he from? Is he a poolplayer?
 
I spotted Morty Davis from the Miss. Gulf Coast, and also a peek at Harry Platis in the first part.

He is from Bowling Green and he is a stone cold killer arm wrestling. Nobody I know likes it. He isn't a real player he gets good weight from shortstops. He is probably a B player.
 
I really cant believe that after all that crap that J0hn kept backing out of it. I would have lost all my $$ on me that big ass John would have roasted him. The short fat guy was very powerful in the arms I guess though. He was very game and ready to go from the start, but he would come out of that locked up position at the start. His thumbs would not leave the 3-4 inch mark from his shoulder. I think that was half of the problem with someone as big as John having his arm extended so far out; that really put him at a leverage disadvantage. I am not sure if they had a table if it would have been different or not. I just am in disbeliefe at the time that guy stalled and wasted. John might be a tuff boy by size alone, but he did puss out on this one.
DeadPoked, the woofing was enjoyable though (to a point). I liked the fat guys accent. I had a very close friend of mine in WI that had the same damn accent. He was from Alabama transplanted to FL then to WI. He ended up the nickname Big Country. 6'3" 355lbs

that brent guy banks pretty sporty, beat a lot of champions this year in the bank tourny. And I dont think john "pussed" out, he moves really good and rarely gets himself in a jam. with that guys arms being so short, it was nearly impossible to get a neutral grip.

OBV john was not scared. hes 2 feet taller than the other guy and was nearly impossible to get a good grip.

hey deadpoked, funny story about those heinekens. my dad left a day early, and he left those in my cooler, so i traded kirkwoods buddy a few heinys for a few bud lights. when i traded them, he said he would pawn them off on sarah....lol. that cigarrette lighter opener works like a charm, dont it. i had a little side bet on john in that arm wrestling match, but thankfully i pulled up in time. after about 10 min of woofing, i knew it wasnt gonna go off. it was nice to put a face to the name roy, to bad we didnt introduce ourselves earlier, maybe we coulda threw a few back together.

I can't believe I just watched all that and all I got was a lesson in how to woof hillbilly style.
 
I can not believe I wasted that much time to see nothing ever happen.
I don't know who would have won, but Brent was forcing John to come over the table, which would have been a big disadvantage for John. I would not arm wrestle for a lot of money like that either. They needed to force both elbows to be the same distance from the edge of the table, then it would have been fair.
 
Man...I know a few Cascadia, Oregon loggers I'd love to back in that kind of action... You see, several of them show at Petaluma, California...and win!
 
I apologize to everyone that were hoping to actually see an arm wrestling match. I was as well! I only posted the video because I thought some people would enjoy seeing those guys going back and forth with each other. The stocky hillbilly guy was a riot.

I don't agree that John wasn't scared. I think he knew that he couldn't beat this guy. He kept changing the rules to the point where they got ridiculous. He dragged it out as long as he could until someone would break it up. Then he said the only way he was doing it is by going holding his arm straight up. If hillbilly did that with him... he elbow would be 6 inches off the counter.

Anyways, hope some people enjoyed this. Crazy things go on at the Derby.

Brent beat Brian Gregg in the banks and then beat Efren. I watched him beat Efren & believe me - He Beat Him. Drinking Miller Lite between every shot. When Efren had his back against the wall & it appeared he was gonna lose the set, Brent was shooting - looked up at him and said - I have seen you make this one on TV, and then of course made it. Brent's phone rang while he was playing and answered it "I am playing Efren, gotta call you back". Funny guy & very entertaining.

Sounds like a pretty sporty B player! He only beat one of the best bankers in the world and followed it up by beating the best player ever. The guy had a hilarious personality.
 
Yes, a very interesting video. Glad they moved ot to a better light. I did see Andy Friedhofen there. Guy in the blue T-shirt posting the $1500 with Hennessee at the counter.
