I can't believe so many are anxious to use the term "World" after all the flack given to Charlie Williams during the World 14.1 event. :D

let's just call it The Universal 10 Ball Championships. Then the winner could be called Mr 10 ball Universe.

I agree with big truck -

Don't use the name WORLD in the title - all it does is cheapen the event.

Something simple: (no open or invitational)

Diamond 10 Ball Challenge.

Hey! I got it.

My first thought was " The Toupee Ten Ball "

but I figured as time went on it would start being called,

" The Derby City Toupee "

then I thought it would just end up being called,

" THE TOUPEE "

That name ought to be worth a kick-in of $10,000.00.

Who knows if this event keeps getting bigger, it could eventually lead to live broadcast on television. Horseshoe might be happy they got in on the ground floor. I might add "Casino" to the title.
 
Nick The Greek is out, due to an arm injury. Tony Drago and Jeff Beckley are possibles, but no confirmation yet.
 
If Beckley plays, you might have to add a day to the event. Jeff is so slow that it takes him 2 hours to watch 60 minutes.

Great player, tho.
