Diamonds should be removed from tables

they're great for beginners and basic aiming and drills, past that useless

if you believe that there is no point in removing them

chinese 8 ball tables are sands diamonds btw

sands?

stupid Ched <-- takes a wild guess that "sans" is the word being searched for.

Rules are rules.......if you don't like the rules, try changing them......until then, just squint and just maybe
the diamonds will disappear for you, or at least be less noticeable, but griping about diamonds is dumb.
Like I earlier wrote, how many 3 rail kick shots could you "pocket" without using the Diamond System?

no sights in snooker, either
Although I have seen older American snooker tables with two sights marking the ends of the balk (baulk) line. Those are not at the mid-point of the cushion-section since the D is less than half-way out from the baulk cushion.

The strangest diamonds I've seen on a table were on a carom table that had eight diamonds down the long rails. The normal number is either seven or nine.

dividing the table into 9 equal sections? (rather than just omitting the 9th diamond at one end and still having 8 equal sections). If so, yes, strange!

We have some old Gandy's and due to the curvature of the rails when you get down
on the shot you can't see the diamonds. It also would be interesting to know how many bank pool players are using the diamonds.

I was a pretty good Banks players as a young man and I never used the Diamond system. Every bank changes dramatically depending on speed of stroke and the English applied to the cue ball. The diamonds become irrelevant then. Every Bank Pool player knows you can make a bank run long or short depending on how you hit it. The "mirror system" is a teaching device you sell to amateurs.

Anyway, like I was sayin’, shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. There’s shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There’s pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That, that’s about it.
