Time to Defend my Post on page one.

Ok, I sat back and waited for the mudslinging to occur due to my post. Not too bad, but not great either.

For starters, I did not know that it was by invitation only. Now I did hear about the qualifiers which led me to believe it was open. Sorry for my confusion.

Now I do feel justified in commenting on Grady's posting(s). I am not one for bashing someone on these forums, but I am at a point of enough is enough. QUIT POSTING NEGATIVELY GRADY PLEASE. SHOW SOME RESPECT FOR YOURSELF AND THE GAME IN GENERAL.

I click on almost every link that you(Grady) post in hopes of catching maybe just some instructional aspect from your knowledge. You are a GREAT PLAYER WITH A GREAT HERITAGE WITHIN THE GAME WE ALL LOVE and CALL POOL. Maybe you can pass along a little of your knowledge to the forum instead of being negative to the pool community or the events.

I do not feel I am disrespecting the master. Just getting frustrated with all the negativity.

What Pat Fleming and Accu-Stats have given us:

A record of the worlds best players in full length events.
The greatest commentary ever (Incardona, Grady, Davenport, Hall, and Varner to name a few)
The single most valuable teaching resource available to new and old players.
Solid watchable events without all the "Gee Whiz" VFX and swoopy camera crap.
They defined the standard of what a great pool production should be.

You can have MTV and HBO. I'll take Pat Fleming and Accu-Stats any day.

Design and production value is what wins awards. What draws people to things. You would be suprised how much it really does for things. That is why companies like Coca-cola for example dumps so much money into making amzing thing. They dont need to advertise. We all know who they are. But they still make these things because of what it does to the veiwer.

Look, I dont need to sit here and try to defend my opinion to you. You obviously have no idea what your talking about. I also do not need to defend my pool playing. For playing less than two years, I would say Im pretty damn good. But whatever. Im not going to cry myself to sleep. you guys have fun sucking up to Grady, Ive got work to do.

You obviously don't have much time behind a cue, and even less time interacting with people in this forum. There are some of us here that have been playing longer than you've been breathing air. For me, I have been actively involved in internationally promoting and playing the game much longer than your 25 years on earth - and I'm one of the young people.

You don't start bashing a player like Grady Mathews when you've only been playing for 2 years (and from your own admission) can only run up to the 6 ball playing the 9 ball ghost. I have a big problem with that because when I was MUCH younger than you, Grady was one of the people I looked up to in order to learn how to play the game at the highest level.

You go on to bash Pat Fleming and Accu-Stats. Pat has poured his heart into that project for over 20 + years, and prior to that, Pat was president of the men's professional billiards association, and one of the best straight pool players I have ever seen. He's dedicated his life to the game of pool in more ways than most of us.

You make these statements and received your well deserved public mauling at the hands of those of us that have earned the right to dish it out to you, yet you come back and basically call us ass-kissers and tell us how good you're playing after 2 years, like any of us really give a shitt.

Stick with design and production values if that's what you're the best at. Unless you can offer any way of helping the current production values at Accu-stats by using your knowledge or connections from the inside track, then don't come in here belittling and demoralizing the grass roots efforts that currently exist. btw... as others have mentioned... Accu-Stats does not produce the ESPN shows, nor do they produce the WPBA events you see on all of the time. Thank industry wizards such as yourself for those shitty production standards.
