Do you have a Pool Table in your home?

I have an eight foot pro Olhausen Remington in my unfinished basement. It has olive Simonis 860 on it.

I play on it 4-5 times a week, for about a half hour. I'd love to play more, but by the time I get my five year old twins down, I'm exhausted.

I've been thinking about trying to get in the routine of practicing for about a half hour when I get up in the morning before work, before the kids get up.

I probably wouldn't practice every day if I didin't do it in the am. I get up at 5am, instead of 6, so I can peruse AZ while having a cup of joe, and then practice from 6 to 7.

Approx 1958 - 1960 Brunswick 8 1/2' Sport King that I retored with Simonis 860 . . . fun table to play on with a lot of character!

These are jam up tables! Do you know it's heavier than a Gold Crown? I wish I had kept mine. I had a nine footer that came out of a Senior Citizen Center and was almost like new. Circa 1950's also.

Now I play on a 9' Diamond Pro-Am (one piece slate) set up in my living room. You can do things like this when you aren't married :). In fact one of the reasons I bought this house five years ago was because it had a large living room (16'x20') plus a nice den, that became my new living room.

I love my new Diamond, it plays great. I just don't play on it enough. I NEVER store things on top of it! It is always ready to be played on. I keep my table clean and neat at all times. My poolroom MUST be pristine. It's like a sacred room in my house. I just recently added a 42" flat screen TV to the room so I can watch sports while playing pool.

Now I need a game. Come on over! :D

Russ......

Another beautiful table that happens to be a great playing table as well. Maybe the best of all the Gold Crowns!

Beautiful tables here!

There are some great looking tables in here! I want to play on all of them. LOL

I am green with envy!

I have a Pro 8' Brunswick Century. I just had RKC put on new Diamond rails, tighten the pockets to 4.5" corner, 5" sides, and put on new blue Simonis 860 HR. It plays lightning fast and true, hopefully I can make myself use it enough to stay in stroke a little.

8ballRat and I must shop at the same place, we both have centurys I have the same light as he does as well. LOL

Antique

Check my avatar that is it. I wanted to finish off my basement which was going to be quite a project with having to eliminate columns. I am single and I just could stand having that thing sit there in pieces so into the living room it went.

Right now I am finishing up a bunch of work on it and hope to have it playing within the week. I have done a complete diary of all the work I have done in the mechanics section. It really is quite a read just click the link in my signature line. There you will see all the trials and tribulations of restoring and antique table.

Thanks! 18 butt 36 shaft Arouncville. It arrived damaged and had to be fixed by a cabinet maker but I like it.

I have a Valley bar box that gets 2-6 hours a day and a 10ft Brunswick Anniversary (it has no pockets) that gets less time. We only have bar boxes here in this town, so that is what my wife and I practice on.

2 Tables

Found my dream table about a year ago. Brunswick Gold Crown III. Saw a poor picture of the table on eBay. Drove 7 hours to go look at it. I wish someone could have taken a picture of my face when I saw that it was like brand new. I would have to say, purchasing this table was one of the
top 3 best days of my life! I purchased the stickers from eBay also. I was real happy with how the decals jazzed it up. I have the table now I have to finish the basement. At least I have my priorities strait.
If you look close at the second picture, you will see a 8' honeycomb Fisher table that is now used as a ping pong table.

I just uploaded a brief video of my pool room. I got an 8-ft. Olhausen Monte Carlo in April '07 -- with wine-colored accuguard cloth. I use Pro Aramith balls (TV version). When I re-cloth, it will be standard green or tournament blue! :D I joined AZB after getting my table... I'm happy with Olhausen but would not have chosen a non-standard cloth color if I had been here first.

I play on this table every day -- but my game skills don't show it!

I was just wondering how many of you have a pool table in your house. If you do, what maker? - what size and where is it? Do you play on it a lot?

We have a 8 Foot Oak Gandy in the basement. I love my Gandy table because it is tight and true. Too bad they don't make them anymore!
We would love to have a 9 foot table but supporting walls are in the way. Also I wish our table was on the main level so we would play more. Our last house - our table was Up-stairs (That was a pain too).

My Game: 9 Ball

Gandy does make tables, they sent me one last month to be assembled. I was impressed. Made in the USA, massive wood frame, 1 1/4" slates, poplar slate liners. The company that sent me the table is American Custom Pool Tables in GA.

Home Table

I am fortunate enough to have two tables. Mine is a GC IV from a WPBA tour stop. My wifes is a seven foot Valley. Pictures of mine are in the photo section.

Diamonds for me.

I have a 1999 pre-production Diamond 3 1/2 x 7 Smart Table. The 26th Smart Table Diamond ever made. One piece slate, 860 cloth and tight pockets. Back then the table came with the full length table light, like the ones that are used on the Diamond 9 footers. Since I play league pool this is a great table for me. Makes those Valley pockets look like canyons. It's in my basement and I play on it at least 3 days a week.
